Cozy Island Cottage, centrally located in the Heart of the Village

Excellent in every way. Perfect location, extremely clean, well-appointed. Unique aviator-styled decor. Owner very helpful and prompt! Five star location.

While this property is in a great location, it is not cleaned regularly and allows pets, so there was hair everywhere. The toilet doesn’t work well and the water is connected to the shower drain so it really stinks when flushed. There are no sheets or towels and we weren’t informed of this until the day of travel when it was too late for us to bring our own. Cute little place, but lacking a lot of conveniences and cleanliness.

Quaint cottage in the heart of the village. Conveniently located. Not the cleanest when we arrived, but we left it better than we found it and even donated a toaster oven we found at the Village Thrift. Comfortable bed in the bedroom. Couch had some pet stains. Rugs very sandy - could stand a professional/deep clean. We did our best to clean and left it in good shape. Great value for the price and we will be back!

Super cute. Not fancy but certainly affordable. Excellent location. Within walking distance to everything. The only thing missing: a hose to rinse the sand off our vehicle after coming off beach. We'll be back. Love the location. Perfect for a couple or couple with two small kids. The safest destination Ive ever visited. Loved that feeling!

We absolutely loved this cottage! We came down for a quick getaway and did not want to go home. It is great for us and and our little dog. We will definitely rent this again. Very cute maintained property.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Kitchen needs more, it needs at least 4 place settings and glass ware. Dish rag or sponge for cleaning dishes.

Great location to the village. I didn’t actually stay at whiskey 95. There was a storm that caused some flooding in the drive and broke out a window. The owner contacted me directly and made arrangements for me to stay at a lovely cottage right next door that happened to be available.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. It had everything we needed for our stay…..nice kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, cozy sitting area, and nice tvs. So nicely decorated and in walking distance to everything in Ocracoke village. Has a spacious porch and is pet friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

This little house was perfect for what we needed. Great location and easy check-in and check-out. The gated porch was a highlight and allowed us to enjoy the mornings out there with our dog and a cup of coffee.

I stayed for a long weekend with my husband and two dogs. First thing, I have to say, that Russ, the property manager, could not have been nicer and he really saved us when we were having battery issues with our car. He was there immediately with words of encouragement and a battery charger that fixed us right up as well as letting us know where we could go in case we needed a new battery. I can’t overstate how helpful he was! The house is very small obviously, but not bad for two people and two dogs. The bed was comfortable and the deck was a great place to hang out with the dogs. The location is fantastic. Off the beaten path a bit, but close to everything in town. The only negative for us was that it is very difficult to cook anything. They have hot plate, but we couldn’t use it because the cord was too short to reach any of the plugs, and there is really just no space. Luckily we weren’t staying too long, so we could eat out for meals, but I wouldn’t want to stay here longer because we usually like to cook most of our meals to save money. Even just eating there was hard because one of the little tray tables was broken, so you’d have to just eat from your lap. Over all, it’s a cute place and a great location with a wonderful manager, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone hoping to cook some of their meals.

Whiskey 95 is a quaint and cozy lodging option, right in the heart of Ocracoke Village. It is humble, and room for 2. The area was super quiet in September. It is pet friendly, but we did not travel with our dog. The village is actually very dog friendly.

It was awesome as always. Looking forward to returning next year.

I truly enjoyed my time here. The deck was perfect for the evenings, and my host provided everything I could have needed inside. I will definitely come back.

We had a great experience staying at Whiskey 95! There was one issue but Russ handled the situation, stayed in contact and fixed the issue. This place was perfect for me, my husband, our daughter who is 7 and our dog, Ollie. The golfcart was waiting for us when we arrived and we were able to drive around as soon as we paid and filled out the form. I didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back!!

We stayed here in April of 2019. It was just right then and now. Everything is nearby and the unit is clean and cool. I especially appreciate the closed deck and the outside shower. It’s a very quiet spot on the island.

This property was great, just what we needed for a little beach getaway. Kitchen is stocked with everthing you might need. The WiFi was very spotty and one of the TVs did not work. While this isn’t what we were here for, this might be important to someone trying to work remotely. When contacted with questions, the host never responded to me, which was disappointing. I contacted one of the other numbers listed for help, and they said they could not help and that they hoped the host would answer me. There are birds nesting in the roof and it sounds like they are going to bust through the ceiling. Overall, a great place!

This property is very dilapidated. There are a lot of things that are broken inside. The floor is messed up with so many steps up and down. I would not stay here again.

I don’t know why they charge a cleaning fee when this place doesn’t look like it been cleaned in months…… hair clippings in the bathroom sink, toilet not spotless, shower curtain mildew which we went and purchased one to replace it. Walls were dusty, spider webs in corners. We couldn’t get the bedroom light to cut off without the fan being turned off so we slept with light on.

I have nothing but good to say about this cute little house. It was tucked away in the center of Ocracoke just enough for privacy but close enough in town to ride the golf cart right down the street to all the shops and restaurants. The inside was decorated so nicely and very cozy. Me, my mom, and my lab had an amazing time.. We will definitely book again in the near future!

Ocracoke is always a lovely place to visit. I was disappointed in the cottage we had booked this past trip. The toilet seat was loose and literally broken on one side . I tried to contact the owner in reference to this , but just like all the other messages I had sent to him, there was no response. I did not consider the cottage to be very clean. We did enjoy the little deck on the front of the cottage .

This property was all we hoped for! Great location and wonderful deck! The golf cart was an added bonus! The bed was very comfortable and the outside shower was great!! The one small change that might be considered would be a more comfortable sofa in the living area! We hope to be back next year!!!

Overall a great place to stay for a short trip to Ocracoke. It’s perfect for a couple on a budget that doesn’t plan on spending much time in the house. If you like to cook I wouldn’t recommend it just because there’s not much room to do much and you’re limited to a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. But the bed is comfy and the ac did a great job keeping the place cool and you can’t beat the location.

Basic little cottage, but met our needs. Good location, comfy bed. Only minor negative is having to clean the bathroom before leaving. I've never stayed in a cottage in Ocracoke (or anywhere) where I was expected to do more than sweep and take out the trash. We would stay there again.

Loved the pictures in the bedroom of the wright B flyer . I'm from Dayton and it felt like home . Only negative is the sofa needs replaced .
