A very pet friendly beach cottage a short walk to the beach and a quick bike ride or drive to our favorite dog-friendly restaurants

Simple clean and quaint. Close to the beach. Only complaint would be the shower head.

Quaint perfect sized cottage with easy access to beach and local attractions. We were there to relax and that’s what we did.

Check-in was extremely easy and the host messaged us that our unit was left unlocked for us, just before we arrived. He let us check in about 30 minutes early upon our arrival, which I appreciated so much being that we had a 5 week old newborn with us. The cottage was as described and very clean. The location was nice because it was so close to the beach. It’s located between two beach accesses but the beach access to the left has a warning sign for an increase in waterborne illness within 200 yards of that sign, due to storm drains. So that’s was unpleasant. Other than that the location was great.

I stayed at this cottage at the end of May 2025 with my spouse, parents, and dog. It was a great vacation! The cottage had ample parking (3 spaces available), and all the basics needed. The cottage is 5 minute walk from the beach, and just be mindful that you have to take a staircase over the dunes in order to actually access the beach, so if you bring a lot of umbrellas and chairs and things you'll probably need to make a couple trips. There's a small parking area right before the stairs to the beach though and we were able to park there to unload the car. We loved that the cottage had a front porch with a small gate on it so our dog could join us relaxing out there. Billy also provided our towels and bed sheets, which was great. Billy was very quick to answer texts and answer any questions that we had.My parents are on the older side (70) and they mentioned that the beds/mattresses were pretty tall and had some slight difficulty getting into the beds, so that's something to just keep in mind if you have those concerns.This cottage was great though, and I'd recommended it! Thanks for having us :)

The cottage had everything we need - close to the beach and all the amenities. Host was very accomodating. Would definitely stay there in the future.

We were looking for a small place close to the beach for just my wife and I and our 2 dogs. This was perfect for what we were looking for. The house was very clean, and check-in was easy. We only stayed for 2 nights but would consider a longer stay next time

Traditional Nags Head beach house with lots of space for gathering. Nearby family came for the day, and we all enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Very short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Nostalgic: A beach property like they used to be before HDTV, before mega-cottages, self-contained resorts in which each guest has their own suite of rooms. Fully-updated. Well and completely stocked. Chefs will want to pack their own knives.

Great cottage steps from the beach. Location was perfect! Size was perfect for our family of 4. More than enough space inside cottage and great front porch and back porch with dining table. Very clean and had everything you would need in the kitchen. Some things could have made the stay easier/better: not providing linens means a lot of extra things to pack; beds not the most comfortable; no curtains so bedrooms get very bright very early (not great for the littles).

I’d definitely stay here again! Location was perfect and cottage was traditional OBX vintage, which I love ? Ship lap ceilings, wide plank pine floors with lots of character and the best part was the gated front porch and beautifully maintained yard that was perfect for my two Frenchies that were welcome as well! I only stayed 2 days waiting to get into my Saturday rental but I’ll definitely consider a longer stay next time!

My family enjoyed the time we spent together and the time we went and saw fireworks at the beach. The location was perfect.
