Cozy Cottage in Fayetteville.. Coolest Small mountain top town , Pet Friendly!

Lots of nice touches in this cozy cottage. Incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of towels, and a very nice guest welcome package. This was perfect for our family of 5 Bridge Day weekend trip whitewater rafting. We really enjoyed the ping pong table too!

Great house

We rented this place because it was dog friendly so expectations were a bit lower, understanding not everyone rents to people with pets. We ended up not bringing the dogs, it would have been a great place for them.

The property was well maintained & we loved the fire pit in the back! Just a few minutes from downtown Fayetteville, it was perfect for us.

Everything thing we needed for our short trip to New River Gorge.

This property is located at the edge of downtown Fayetteville, WV. It is within minutes of several local shops and restaurants. Also within 10 minutes of the northern area of New River Gorge NP. Check-in and check-out was very easy. The house was very clean and the hosts were very thoughtful with the amount and types of amenities they provided. You could see their personal touches throughout the home and it made the stay even more welcoming and enjoyable. The house included plenty of clean towels/linens, coffee maker stocked with coffee k-cups, sugar and creamer, dog necessities (bowls, kennel, doggie poop bags), plenty of cooking utensils, and plenty of family fun with board games, ping pong table, and air hockey table. We had a blast staying here.

Solid place to enjoy sometime in WV

A problem for VRBO and Airbnb is that everything is either 1 Star or 5 stars. This is basically a 3. It’s ok. The host is great. But it isn’t really what we thought we were renting. It’s not just that the house is old. Many things in it (microwave, grill,etc) are very old. This is a house to stay at and eat out every meal becaue the grill was rusty and the kitchen is small and not really equipped for cooking. Kitchen drawers fall out, etc. Pictures make it look like the back yard goes to the creek. It doesn’t. Just a chain link fence. Window ac units in upstairs bedrooms that didn’t cool effectively.

We had a rafting trip and selected this property based on location and dog friendlyness. It was enough for us and suited our needs. Pretty much as expected. A fan in the garage and up stairs bedrooms would have been helpful but other than that everything was as described.

The house was great. Perfect for what we needed. Our dog loved the backyard. It was so convenient to downtown and all the good restaurants.

Good location near town. Spacious but stairs a bit steep to 2nd floor so be careful especially if you need to come down in middle of night. We had a WiFi outage that was resolved the next day with a small refund.. so hosts were responsive and considerate. I recommend this place.

The property was as expected. Beds are comfy, and everything we needed as far as kitchen supplies were available. The kids loved the ping-pong and air-hockey tables! Dog friendly. It is an older home with the oddities of homes of this age (some warped flooring, loose interior door handles, one bedroom door didn’t close all the way), but we found this part of the house’s charm. Close to everything in Fayetteville and a great jumping off point for our adventures.

Property was very clean, check in was easy and all the major attractions were close by. High speed internet and ping pong were nice. If you have more than 2 cars you’ll have to get creative with parking. Overall, a great place to stay.
