Centerville, Massachusetts
Steal away to your private respite at this charming Cape Cod Cottage in beautiful Centerville village. Minutes away from Craigville Beach, (private landlord's beach pass included with stay) 1856 Country Store, and Main Street in Hyannis with all of the delectable dining options and shops! Not a Beach Bum That's okay! Perhaps sitting on the deck enjoying the quiet backyard and firepit is more your style. There is plenty of yard for corn hole, ladder golf, or wiffleball for the kids!
House sleeps 8+ comfortably with three queen sized beds, two pullout sofas and extra folding cots in closets.
Tucked away in a quiet spot west of Hyannis, this house is a short walk from Covell's beach and a bit longer walk or a short drive from Craigville beach, both of which are quite nice. Craigville beach has a restaurant called The Barnacle with burgers, lobster rolls, clams, and ice cream. There's a small general store and a pizza place in walking distance from the house, and you're a short drive away from plenty of supermarkets, eateries, and the wonderful Hyannis Main St. The outdoor shower was great for getting the sand off when coming back from the beach. There's a nice backyard porch and yard with a firepit and a grill, neither of which we used in our short stay. Some family games in an upstairs closet were a nice touch. Overall the house was very comfortable, if a touch weathered.
Main Floor was recently remodeled and very nice. House had everything we needed and close to beach, Fun Weekend!!
Andrew the property owner was wonderful and very receptive to our few requests. Overall a great experience. Thank you.
The home's open floor plan made for a perfect gathering location for our family. It was so comfortable with ample space for all of us. We were a party of six (Grandparents, Daughter/Spouse, Grandchildren) Didn't take long for everybody to claim their spot . The deck with it's patio table and comfy chairs got plenty of use as well. And the poximity to the beach is great - only a 4 minute drive. Hyannis is also only a 10 minute ride. Great location, Great house. I would recommend it. If I could make a suggestion - the binder on the table would benefit from menus/brochures from local restaurants or venues to visit for people who might not be in the know. A sort of insider's guide to the best spots in the area.
This house was a classic Cape Cod experience. Had all the necessities but no frills which was perfect for us. My kids (age 4 and 6) where enthralled with the VCR! The beds were comfortable, even the pull out sofa. The beaches that were accessible with the beach pass were beautiful and super close by. A couple of things I wish I knew or paid attention to before I went, but wouldn't change my mind about booking again, just putting out here for other's for packing purposes: 1. There was a kuerig and not a coffee pot which I either didn't know or did read before so I brought ground coffee but not k-cups. (There was a Dunkin Donuts close by though so we just went out and got coffee). 2. I needed a measuring cup one day for pancakes and didn't see one, so I improvised and used a 9 oz plastic wine cup I brought with me. Everything else we needed and would expect from a vacation rental house was there and in good condition.
