Ludington, Michigan
You'll love our clean and cozy, historic summer housekeeping cottage located right on the waterfront. It sleeps 6-7 people, and is rented weekly June-August, Saturday to Saturday, with a 3-night minimum stay in May, September, and October. There are 3 bedrooms; one large one with a queen bed & air conditioner, and 2 small bedrooms that include a twin-over-full bunk bed for kids, and a full bed in the 3rd bedroom.
There is an open kitchen and living area with air conditioner, and a full bathroom with a shower. Guests bring their own towels and bed sheets. We're part of the Vacation Lane Resort Cooperative, a friendly and welcoming traditional summer cottage community. You'll enjoy swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, lawn games, BBQing, campfires, and relaxing outdoors together on the property. A small grill and a picnic table is included with the Robin, as well as firewood for the common campfire area, and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy. You can dock your boat (18-ft limit) at the small marina, starting at $100 per week charge. You can also park your boat on the property free of charge, and launch it from the South Bayou right across the street.
We are perfectly located. It's a 6-minute drive to Ludington State Park on the Lake Michigan shore with its beautiful beaches, lighthouse, hiking trails, paddle sport trails, and picnic & grill areas. You can also boat across Hamlin Lake to the state park, or to the sand dunes in the State Forest. It's an 8-minute drive to the city beach, and downtown Ludington with its shops, parks, museums, great ice cream & fudge, restaurants and bars with live music. There is always something fun to do in the summer in this area!
Our second time staying at Vacation Lane and had a great time. Tina was available any time we had a question. Cabin was just across the street from the boat launch making getting in and out easy. Cabin was clean and central to our boat docking and the fish cleaning station. We would book again.
This cottage was so cute and super clean! We totally enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back.
Would re-book in future.
Tina and Ed are lovely people to know and property owners to rent from. They truly think of everything you might need to have a special stay at their Robin cottage. Highly recommend their rental on Hamlin Lake!
The Robin cabin is perfectly located near the water. We loved the screened in porch and the use of the kayaks. The playground area was also fun even if we were all adults. The hosts were wonderful and thought about all the little details that were appreciated like night lights, and paper products. We are a pretty picky family when it comes to cabins and locations but we all agreed we would stay here again.
This was our first trip north for vacation (typically we go South) and I can say we were thoroughly impressed. This location took me back to my childhood and my favorite vacation spot I went to growing up. It's the perfect little community...not too crowded or crazy, perfect amenities, great for families, tons around to do. The place might seem a bit small for 4 people, but honestly the only thing we really did there was sleep. We were outside all day everyday. The docks and swim area are right there, and plenty of seating for you to hang out in while the kids play. The sand was super fun to play in, and we caught plenty of fish off the dock. The water was SO clear, and the kids loved the playground as well. We had everything we needed and more. We took a couple day trips to nearby towns, but honestly could've spent the whole week and way more just on the proper. The owners were amazing! So communicative and friendly- and we loved the little surprise basket they left for us! We can't wait to come back and make more memories!!!
Very clean, quaint cottage in a convenient area. Close to all Ludington attractions but also convenient location in Vacation Lane for easy access to the beach and water. With a 7-month old and a 3-year old, the cozy space had enough room for all of us. Fans and heat in every room made it convenient for climate control for the uncertain weather shifts in early June. Smooth process and communication all around with booking, arrival, and exiting. Definitely would return!
We had so much fun at Tina's cottage! So close to nice trails, 4 lighthouses in nearby shore towns, and Luddington downtown with yummy restaurants. The cottage has everything you need, and the 2 kayaks are a great addition!
Originally booked this for a friends wedding that was rescheduled and decided to go anyway and it was quite the get away! The boys caught king salmons, the cottage was clean & equipped with necessities and games, the kids enjoyed the playground, fishing from the deck was relaxing, overall a very peaceful and friendly environment! Tina & Ed have a nice place and are very sweet people!
Our stay at the Robin was wonderful. It is a three bedroom with kitchen bath and screened porch. Parking was easy and close on property. Beach sand was a very short walk away.
