My son and i stayed with the dog. The fenced in yard was great for them to run around. The location was close to everything and quiet. We enjoyed our time here!

We loved Jim’s cottage! It had everything we needed and more. Jim was incredibly responsive and the location was in close proximity to everything we wanted to see in Charleston! 10/10 would stay here again.

Had a water leak in the bathroom and couldn’t rent it so we had to find a hotel that takes dogs. I was so stressed out. They did reimburse me for my rental and paid for half the hotel.

Place was great. Quiet neighborhood except for the occasional commercial airliner or military jets from nearby AFB. Communication with the owner was stellar and there are many instructions throughout the house. Backyard is cozy and perfect for just hanging out but beware for garden spiders/orb weaver/banana spiders all over. No real threats to us. Honestly felt at home.

If you think you’ve seen cozy, think again. This 3-bedroom cottage near downtown Charleston is a hidden gem in the most unexpected of places. Tucked in a rougher, gritty part of town, this cottage feels like stepping into a warm hug after a day of navigating the urban chaos. The street outside may be bustling with that raw energy only a true city neighborhood can offer—vibrant, loud, and alive—but inside, it’s a whole other world. You’ll walk into the living room and instantly feel the stress of the city melt away. The place is *cozy* in the truest sense of the word. Soft lighting, big plush couches that practically swallow you whole, and a vintage vibe that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a secret sanctuary. Every inch of this cottage is designed for comfort and relaxation, from the rustic charm of the kitchen, complete with open shelving and quirky little touches, to the bedrooms that feel like an oasis in a storm—think thick, cloud-like comforters and beds that’ll make you want to cancel all plans for a nap. Now, let’s talk backyard. In this part of town, you might not expect to find such a tranquil retreat—but that’s what makes this place so special. The backyard is a perfect little urban escape, filled with personality. There’s a fountain that draws you in as soon as the sun starts setting, surrounded by mismatched chairs and fairy lights hanging from the fence like little bursts of hope. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to crack open a cold drink, thro

Cute, comfy, and amazingly well stocked. If you plan on cooking during your stay, youll find all you need in terms of pots, pans, pantry stock and dishware. The beds are comfy, instructions are clear, and the cottage was well cleaned. Both front and backyard are fenced and securely contained our dog. The owner was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved the place. The location (neighborhood) looks sketchy but it was actually very quiet. The house was perfect for what we needed. I will say that the AC in both smaller bedrooms was not working very well. It got pretty toasty. But everything else was great.

The house and property were so inviting! The owner was quick to respond to questions and the house was stocked with anything a traveller might need. We were there for a family reunion in town and this property was more than adequate for us. We were there over July 4th and the neighbors set off fireworks in the street until after midnight but that would have happened at home as well, so not a big deal. Overall, as a first experience with VRBO it was very good
