Great place…great location

House is in wonderful location. Cleaning left a bunch to be desired. When we arrived, the house is clearly been closed up for a long time and was very musty. I had to open all the windows and air the place out immediately. Lots of spiderwebs around bathroom areas Clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a bit. Kitchen supplies were definitely not up to par for a house that could seat eight people for dinner.

Perfect location, great yard, first floor day bedroom great for elderly guest! Overall perfect Vrbo for a mixed generational family vacation!

Clean home in a great location! No AC, but there were many fans and the night breeze cooled the place down so it was fine.

Great place to get away and simply be. Quiet, peaceful, picturesque. Definitely a driving destination as grocery/restaurants are a distant walk. House is charming and in a quaint neighborhood, lets you settle in as a local.

Couldn't be happier with the location. The house doesn't have air conditioning, lucky we had a mild 4 of july weekend. I had trouble contacting the host or management company for check in. i called 3 different numbers and sent emails and direct messages to try and confirm the check in process and get lock box codes. it took me calling their 3rd party management company 2 times before i got a text 13 min before check in time. The house was adequate but needed to be cleaned better. A storm rolled through and knocked part of the balcony off on our first day so we never got to use that aspect of the house. The whole back deck area is covered in leafs and overgrowth. And it would be nice to have an operating outdoor shower. In all it's a fantastic location, i just wish the house was in better order.

We really enjoyed our stay in Portsmouth. The host was responsive and stayed in contact during the stay. Check in was easy and the location was perfect! We enjoyed beautiful sunsets each night and the fenced in yard was perfect for our younger guests. Quiet street and perfect for a family vacation!

Beautiful seaside cottage, great location and very comfortable. Quiet, private, GREAT place to escape. Would definitely book again!

The house is nice and spacious; the owner gets an F for communication and hospitality. He told me we would get house key code 24 hours in advance and when I still had not received 22 hours in advance I had to text him again to get the code. He also never informed us that the house did not have some basics like pillow cases for 2 of the pillows in one bedroom. We received one towel per person as it was only a 4 night stay ; despite the house being close to the ocean that other neighbors were enjoying. We discovered after we arrived that no soap for tub and we appeared to have hand soap in 1 bathroom; but when used it discovered it was water with a little soap in it. It was frustrating to have to make multiple trips to the grocery store. The house was hot when we arrived , but cooled off quickly as soon as we opened the windows . Owner did provide working ceiling fans in the rooms and box fans which kept the house comfortable. Owner needs a good management company as a different attitude and a few basics could have turned this into a wonderful 4 or 5 star experience. After much communication; owner informed us that we could find a pillowcase in room behind living room that he had asked us not to go into; we did find 1 pillowcase in a cabinet in there. But he had been telling us to use dusty pillows from the couch for pillows because 2 pillows had no pillowcases. The off limits room also had beach towels which we did not use. Owner expected us to take out all trash and take trash and recycling bins to the curb. Owner wanted us to strip beds and start 1 load of laundry prior to leaving which we did; but we would have done even more if owner had been more pleasant. It would also have been helpful to have information on grocery store and restaurants he sent in his text on a laminated sheet on table or kitchen counter.

Rented place for my groomsman for my wedding weekend, house and location are great, lots of room to enjoy the day and was close to all the venues we needed to get to to, weekend was incredible. Just remember to buy fans as the upstairs does get pretty hot in the summer time, house has crank windows that don’t fit ac’s. We managed just fine and it was fantastic.
