I want to say I have never given this type of review. However I've never stayed in something this. The location could not be better. We loved the cottage it's self. The accommodations are still from the 1950's literally. This cottage could be so sweet w just some TLC. The kitchen cabinets are lovely if minor fixes happened handles fix (not replaced.) We needed to clean dishes, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, potholders ect. More than 2 dishtowels. Sheets were brand new in the drawers but not on the beds?. Broken gas grills, furniture, toys, outside, yard needs it's own TLC. We bought our own cleaning supplies to clean before we could enjoy our vacation..

Pros: PERFECT location steps from the beach; three bedrooms; quirky vintage experience. Cons: as seen in photos and other reviews, this is a well loved well used very old beach cottage. While cosmetic stuff didn’t matter to us (e.g. backyard is dingy w broken toys and grills), some functional problems were annoying (kitchen sink doesn’t drain and we tried cleaning the trap and it didn’t help; one shower, once turned on, wouldn’t turn off). Biggest problem is customer service is very difficult to access, if you need help. We smelled gas for a couple days, so I sent a message through the vrbo app and got no response. I finally had to call Vacasa then had to deal with a bunch of texts while trying to enjoy vacation. Ultimately a tech came to check the gas problem more than 48 hours after I initially reported it (reportedly a pilot had blown out and nothing more but our scheduled checkout was the next day so I don’t know).

Pros: Steps from the beach. Easy access. Clean. Cons: all of the furniture is uncomfortable (if you will be on the beach all day this may not be much of an issue). Needs upgrades in accessibility for plugging in all of the devices we use day-to-day. Lights are dim which makes it hard to see, several items are well loved and due to be replaced. Would I rent again- yes. If upgrades were made to lighting, plugs, furniture and a good minimizing of outdated decor I would give 5 stars.

We stayed only for a few hrs due to an unsettling incident with people acting creepy who turned out to be the owners. We spent a ridiculous amount of time on hold with vacasa (local property mgt co), never getting the promised return call from them. We ended up leaving at 9:00 pm on a holiday weekend, had to pay thru the nose for a hotel. I have spent the last month fighting with vacasa and vrbo to not get charged. - property owners should be better vetted, no excuse for their weird behavior , every service rep we retold the story to agreed with us! - vacasa and vrbo should actually communicate eith each other -property is a DUMP, we expected and were ok with rustic but yard full of trash, broken old lawn furniture and grills, screens ripped and blowing like curtains, furniture old, stained, horrible to sit on, suspect Goodwill wouldnt even take it This place should not be rented Whole experience was weird, unsettling and almost ruined holiday weekend Luckily we found another last minute place in Another site

This is is a great place to stay if you enjoy walking on the beach and enjoying the ocean. Just a short distance to the beach. We can't wait to come back.

Only feet away from the ocean and the beach, close to good food if you like seafood.
