My husband uses TV to unwind. Having no TV at all aggravated us both! I think you should consider a partial refund. I was also shocked I had to pay even more money when I checked in. Nice place but not worth that kind of money.
We had a very enjoyable time
Love Christmas Mountain. Very clean, and staff is always so helpful
Very clean and in a nice area. The only draw back was the we were in cabin #173 and it was a very busy noisy street with a lot of traffic!
I had a great weekend with my friends. Beautiful cabin. Looking forward to coming back again.
The cabin was great for what we needed as a family. The ski park was great for smaller kids learning to ski.
Enjoyed having a kitchen. Place was clean and warm. Only suggestion is fixing the bedroom dresser drawers they are broken and don’t pull out.
The owner Sheri was easy to work with, a slight miscommunication on my part in understanding how the resort fee was handled. I thought it was refunded to me after the stay, she just took it off the invoice from the start. No issue with that after that was cleared up. What one must understand about this arrangement is that the cottage we stayed in is not physically owned by Sheri - she owns a timeshare and the timeshare (Blue Green I believe) owns the physical properties, and thus is responsible for all the repairs, upgrades, amenities, etc. so really none of that can go back on Sheri - so understand that this review is more of a reflection of the timeshare company so to speak than Sheri. The cottage we were assigned was far back in the loop of cottages on the golf course behind the pond, it was very private and wooded on one side. However, on entering and turning on a light there was a mouse running in circles in the hallway right in front of us. Ok, not a deal breaker, as out cat catches mice in our house too and it's not a nice newer house, but still, we had to kill it and throw it outside. I applaud Blue Green Vacation rentals on trying to upgrade the facilities - being the daughter of a contractor I notice upgrades. For instance wood grain tile, not LVP used throughout the kitchen and bath, nice tile surround in the shower/tub and granite like countertops. The bed was very comfortable, linens clean, soft and nice as well. However just a couple things... - in the bathroom the seat was mismatched in color and oversized for the toilet, kind of obnoxious - the shelf if you can call it that in the bathroom, was really cheaply made - the holes drilled round for square pegs on particle board, why cheap out there? - there was a wood burning fireplace, with tools to utilize it but no wood - the majority of the blinds in every room were missing one if not more strings, thus opened crooked or not at all. - the dishwasher made awful loud noises on use for the first 5-10 minutes, shaking the wall between the kitchen and bedroom behind it to the point we almost called and then it stopped - the garbage disposal was also extremely loud and shook the counter - my son peed the bed, I stripped the bed and told housekeeping the soiled linens were in a pile on the bed. They didn't pick them up, and just left the new ones on the kitchen table. - the living room needs either another chair and or a loveseat. There is not enough seating for 4 adults
We rented the cabin while our son and grandchildren were staying at another location on the resort. There are so many things to do on the resort and in the area that we had a fabulous time. The grounds and facilities were all nicely kept up and the staff were very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Wisconsin.
The sofa had some sort of spots on it which made us nervous. No telling WHAT took place on that sofa, but we suspect some “adult” activity. We found a vacuum and did what we could to vacuum it, but it wasn’t much help. The filter was plugged and I couldn’t get it cleaned but we did manage to use it to vacuum the carpet. When my husband pulled out the sofa, there was a lot of dirt under it including a ziplock bag with who knows what inside! So, we moved the chair and found a lot more dirt. There were no kitchen towels or dishcloths. I visited the front desk to report our findings and requested a blanket to drape over the sofa because we did NOT feel comfortable sitting on it as it was even though we had flipped the cushions. No apology, only the promise that the blanket would be delivered to our cottage. I should note however, that the woman who took my complaint looked embarrassed. I don’t think she knew how to respond. The chairs around the table had cloth seats and were in desperate need of cleaning. Upon check-in, we were informed that the resort had recently had a water contamination problem but we didn’t need to worry about it because it had been rescinded as all testing was now good. This was something we should have been told when making the reservations in my opinion. We would have a opted for another place. Given this information about the water problem, we refused to use the dishes that were in the cupboards so we ate all of our meals out other than a quick breakfast in the morning. This cut into our planned budgeted amount. We did eat in the cabin, but we ate on paper plates that we picked up at the local store. With everything going on regarding Covid, we were mortified at this lack of cleanliness. We expected to see things extra clean and this is not at all what we found. It should be noted that I also had to clean the table top in the dining area as well as the countertops in the kitchen. Honestly, if the sofa and kitchen chairs had been properly cleaned my review might have been five stars.
