Situated on a palm tree lined street in a peaceful neighborhood, our beautiful home is a great retreat in the heart of the Los Angeles city. Our quaint home, is inviting and comfortable & promotes rest as well as exploration. We are located in an area central to many parts of the city such as Hollywood, the beach, Downtown LA & the Los Angeles Airport.
The space
Our home is a fully updated 1923 craftsman cottage located in Chesterfield Square, Los Angeles. With large craftsman windows throughout, there is lots of natural light and a great cool breeze coming from the ocean, that is not too far away. Our home has uniquely landscaped front and back yard spaces that are therapeutic, cozy and peaceful. We strive to maintain a zero-waste, non-plastic and minimalist household.
Guest access
All guests are welcome in every room in the Main house including the kitchen, laundry room, sunroom, dining area, living room with TV (Roku), the oasis back yard with a complete set of outdoor furniture including a BBQ area, patio table, double chaise and a hammock. In addition, the house boasts a fully landscaped front yard and a relaxing front porch with a bistro table, porch bench swing and off-street driveway parking.
Other things to note
0. This is Our personal Home; it is Not a Hotel and we would like the space to be treated with Care. We also expect for Guests to leave the space as requested on the Check Out Instruction List or we will bill the Cleaning Crews additional fees to the outgoing Guests

1. If you would like to smoke anything of any sort, this is NOT the property for you. We receive a lot of inquiries from potential Guests about being able to smoke or vape (cigarettes and or cannabis) in the back yard; this is our personal home so we have committed to this being a No-smoke property which includes No smoking being allowed in the house, in the backyard or in the front yard

2A. My work office is setup in the Back Unit that is DETACHED from the Main House but is connected to the Garage and is located behind the Main House Back Yard. I will come and go from the Alley Way but Guests might cross paths with me when I enter into the Back Unit Door via the Main House Back Yard.

2B. We sometimes need to visit the property to retrieve items from the Garage. We strive to visit the property when no guests have rented the Main House. But in the case of an emergency, we will be sure to provide guests with an in-advance notice of our upcoming presence in the Back Area of the property.

3A. We have an alarm system and two cameras setup that are actively recording video and audio; one camera is built-into the Doorbell in the front of the house and the other camera is mounted on the Main House facing the back yard area, Garage and Back Unit Office

3B. We have Noise Monitor sensors installed inside in the dining room area and outside in the Back Yard of the House; they are active and sensoring for high Decibel audio levels

4. In order to be able to continue to offer our house as an Haven, we have to be mindful and respectful of our Community and Neighbors, so:
Quiet/ Very Low Noise Time begins at 10:00 PM and ends at 8:00 AM *everyday of the week

5. Our North side neighbor has dogs that bark a lot; and sadly, the neighbor allows their dogs to bark on the side of the house near all of our bedrooms

6. Our neighborhood Unfortunately likes to celebrate lighting fireworks year around

7. On any Los Angeles “extreme” weather day, such as it being really hot, cold or rainy, the ants often try to find safety inside of the house

8. There are no TV's or refrigerators in the Three Bedrooms

9. The house features a whole-house water filtration and salt-based water-softener system as well as an air purification system

10. This House is Not suitable for Guests who do not have an active-functioning mobile phone accessible and aren’t willing to communicate with us if needed before or during their stay in our home; as all arrangements and matters are handled remotely

11. The antique Couch Pull Out Bed is unfortunately not built for comfort, so we provide a Mattress Topper that we hope can support a more pleasurable sleep experience

12. Our amazing home is centrally located in South Los Angeles in a neighborhood called Chesterfield Square. If you are unfamiliar with this part of Los Angeles, please note that we are Not in a neighborhood that advertisements associate with Los Angeles such as Beverly Hills or Hollywood. Kindly, please take the time to Internet Search/Map the General Location of our home so you have healthy expectations.

13. Our property features a driveway with parking spots for two cars; the driveway can fit three cars if you park two of the cars in a tandem position.

    The listing title is completely accurate: charming craftsman cottage. The interior is very comfortable, plenty of room for our family. Kitchen was amply outfitted for cooking, although we didn't use the charcoal grill. It sits on a dead-end street in a residential neighborhood, and people seemed friendly. We would stay here again! 4 stars for the neighborhood only because a block or two east felt a little run-down. But the immediate street was nice.
