Charming Guest House at Live Oaks on the Bayou

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived when the dog sitter, Rachel, greeted us and made sure that our check-in went smoothly. The cottage was IMMACULATE! Bed/shower/temperature control were great! The hosts accounted for everything we could request. Beach was within an easy 20 minute drive, numerous GREAT pubs/restaurants were within walking distance. And, we could go on and on about sweet Lola!!!!! The cutest cockapoo with the friendliest personality! We can’t wait to come back!!!!

Beautiful courtyard that was perfect for a quiet morning or afternoon. Very private. The space in the unit was perfect for my husband and me. There are a number of restaurants within 0.5 miles and it is safe to walk.

Beautiful guest house surrounded by gorgeous palms and tropical plants with the sound of a trickling water feature masking any noise from the surrounding neighborhood.

We were very pleased with our stay. The accommodations were more than we were expecting! Very comfortable, clean & quiet. Our communications with the owner were minimal, but answers were immediate & complete. We would absolutely recommend this location for your stay!

Very nice for a couple. Clean and cozy. One suggestion. Know the leaves are hard to keep on top of but prior to a new occupant the leaves should be blown off the courtyard.They covered the courtyard and outside seats. Carried them inside on shoes with every entry. Outside chairs were covered with leaves and dirty and undesirable for sitting. Not a deal breaker but should be taken seriously.

Great space. Easy access to the airport, beach and downtown. Much nicer than a hotel room.

Excellent location. Very quiet neighborhood. Main house guest is long term renter he was very nice with a very friendly small dog. The guest house is cozy with lots of natural light and surrounded by large oak trees and outside sitting area. Highly recommended.

It is as described and comfortable. A great area to be in. Bayou Texar is so close I wished I was there to go boating.

We absolutely loved this place!! The guesthouse was very conveniently located and very clean. The courtyard is beautiful and everything inside was very comfortable. It was the perfect retreat after a day at the beach! The available beach chairs, umbrella, and towels were definitely an added bonus. We would definitely stay again!

It was great! Very nice location with everything around us within a 15-20 minute drive with nice beaches. The property was exactly like the pictures and was beautiful, but do keep in mind you’re sharing the same courtyard/patio are with the main house so it’s not entirely secluded. All in all, it was a beautiful place to stay! Would love to come again Xx

We enjoyed our stay very much. This charming guest house is cozy and quiet. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed trips to the beach and the historic village. Lots of great food to choose from but at the end of the day it was nice to come back to such a pretty little private place. The courtyard is beautiful as well.
