Very comfortable apartment, and clean. Lots of cleaning supplies provided, and laundry supplies. Host Steve was very accommodating with our requests. We would not hesitate to return!
Rating would be -100 or F-. When I arrive the door was locked, the code didn't work et... ended up getting in without the proper code, texted owner - late repsonse. The owner needs to understand that when a customer stays and pays over $3,500 - one excepts: all renovations projects should not be occurring - like replacing the siding at 7am multiple times for hours. Never a heads up just workers arriving pounding on the house nonstop. The unit below (permeant tenant) was saying the same.... how is this possible and why didn't he say anything. I ended up leaving at least a week early without consideration of any sort of a refund :explanation is: forgot to mention. Lastly this place is a disaster - the latest flood leveled the back area it looks like a war zone. I have plenty of pics of the property and is nothing like it looks like online. This place could be the last place standing on earth I would not stay.
What a great weekend! The location was perfectly located and the neighborhood, nice and quiet. Everything was clean and well stocked. We had amazing breakfasts up the road at a new restaurant called Waffle Monkey which has amazing Gluten Free waffles!!! We also rode our dirt bikes to the beach and up the coast which was beautiful, relaxing, and really fun exploring the area. Seeing the damaged state of Fort Myers, post Hurricane Ian, was sobering and I’ll continue to keep the people affected in my prayers. We initially had a slight hiccup with the keyless entry that was quickly resolved. There was ample space to kennel our fur babies (golden retriever and shih tzu) anytime we were away and they were calm and comfortable. The neighbor downstairs was very friendly and we had a great conversation about the plants and trees on the property (my husband and I are plant and nature enthusiasts). All-in-all, this was a great place to stay and we would definitely do so again!
Comfortable, relaxing and an awesome location.
We stayed here while visiting family in the neighborhood and were traveling with our dog. Old florida style cottage that was charming. Great air flow on top floor for people that prefer windows to A/C. The house is older but kept up well inside. We had a couple things that needed to be fixed during our stay and owner was VERY responsive and everything was fixed the same day.
When we needed to evacuate from the path of Hurricane Dorian, Steve was very welcoming to us and our pets. Thank you for helping us out! Our stay was enjoyable, and the housing comfortable and quiet. Everything we needed was a short drive away, including the dog beach where we met many fellow pet owners, and let our pup run free on the beach and in the water. We would definitely consider this property any time again.
This Cottage is clean, very well stocked with everyday essentials. I loved the convince of the washer & dryer. The screened in deck was very nice for morning coffee. It is convent to the beach, restaurants and shopping. It is in a lovely neighborhood to enjoy daily walks. We were disappointed in the surrounding of the cottage. The renter who lives below has a lot of stuff around the house. Very unkept and trashy looking. We has some of his chickens roosting on our deck. He was very picky about the parking spaces, especially to our guest. When we got out the bicycles to ride, the tires were so low we couldn't even put air in them with the hand pump provided. Steve had told us he was going to check them to make sure there was plenty of air. There is a Kayak provided, but no way to get it to the river. Our goal was to find a place where we could come back every year for a lengthy stay. Unfortunately, we will not choose to stay here. Very disappointing.
As former Bonita Springs residents, we were well aware of the excellent location of the property, needed a week, and wanted a kitchen. Our rental was from Tuesday, April 10-17, 2018. I saw this listing and it was a no-brainer, really. The listing is accurate; what you see is what you get. We had the upper level of the cottage which, as it turns out, at at one time been a beachfront cottage that had been moved from Fort Myers. You won't need to bring anything. Steve has fitted it out with everything! Fully equipped kitchen with cleaning supplies, paper towels, oven mitts, dish towels...Cuisinart coffeemaker, microwave, and all pots/pans/dishes you will need. Same for bath. Lovely new linens, beach towels, stacked washer/dryer (he even provided washer detergent!) bath wash, lotions, etc. You will experience a cozy beach cottage in a quiet neighborhood within easy distance to beach by bikes, also supplied, as well as beach chairs and gas propane grill! It comes complete with 2 TVs and Wifi. Steve is an experienced, excellent owner/manager and is easily accessible by phone for any questions, and answers promptly. He seems eager to make certain the stay is enjoyable. It is the first time I have experienced this level of attention at previous rentals. If you want a casual cottage in a great location, this is your unit! If you are seeking a high end cookie-cutter luxury motel, perhaps with no kitchen, they are out there, but they lack the Old Florida feel of this lovely cottage, and come with a VERY hefty price tag. I would not hesitate a second to rent any of Steve's properties. He is just that good.... Thank you, Steve, for an exceptional experience.... from Cinda and Rich
Steve was very easy to work with. Be aware microwave is on top of fridge and not easily reached if you're short. I could do a cup but nothing larger. Pans are limited but enough for two. Most don't do a lot of cooking so just check out what you have before you plan your menu. Having washer and dryer is a big convenience. Place is clean, looks more like places we stay up north than FL beach. Comfortable with good storage I'd suggest a journal or log for people to share good spots to go. Have found them useful in other places we stayed
Place was easy to get to and in a nice neighborhood . It was close to beaches but had to pay for parking most days. Stores and resturants were close by. Easy access to Ft MEYERS and Naples. The apartment had comfortable feel . Only problem was the noisy roof that was still damaged from the huricane. All the things we needed were well supplied. It was nice being in a clean place around nice neighbors. I would stay there again.
