Stayed Jul 25, 2025Our stay at 3 bedroom cottage was enjoyable. The house was nicely decorated and very clean upon arrival, exceeding expectations. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. The location was ideal, with close stores for groceries or food. You are able to see houghton lake from the location as it’s at the beginning of the canal. Fun to watch boats come in and out. Only negative is that you are unable to swim at the property. You can either rent a boat or go to local beach to swim. Communication with the property managers was excellent, and they were responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The quiet surroundings and the lovely outdoor patio were particularly enjoyable. This rental is recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family getaway.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The checkin process was flawless. He even offered us early checkin! We enjoyed the local restaurants while visiting, but if we had chosen to cook the kitchen is FULLY stocked with every pot, pan and spices you could need! The dock is very nice right at the entrance of the canal so you can watch boats coming in/out all day & night! Free entertainment!! There is a boat launch just 2 streets over that only costs 5 to use. Very convenient location! We were beyond happy with our stay & communication with the owner. 10/10 would stay again!

Stayed Jun 12, 2025My wife and I travel extensively throughout Michigan, the USA, and abroad…this was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed! The house was beautiful, immaculately clean, and stocked with whatever items you. The kitchen was gorgeous, and well-stocked with utensils, pots/pans, spices, you name it. The view out the backyard was awesome, the boat dock was perfect, the fire pit fully stocked with wood. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about this stay. We will definitely be back!
