Charming 2-bedroom cottage in welcoming Houghton Lake with Hot Tub, AC, WiFi

Nice sportsman cabin

For the most part it was ok, the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, was in need of a very deep cleaning. The shower was so bad my wife wouldn’t even shower in it. The kitchen sink hot and cold water lines are hooked up incorrectly. Bring water with you when traveling if you visit the water has an odor and is not drinkable.

Location is good, there are shops and supplies nearby and some restaurants. Lake is right down the road. Cleanliness and supplies are short, since maybe they just revamped the place and listed the property.

My nephews & I enjoyed a great time in the colorful leafs and wonderful lake weather. Nice hot tub.

The house is exactly what is described, a cottage. It’s surprisingly spacious and had lots of charm in some ways, especially in the neighborhood it’s located at. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, living room, kitchen, and the bed was comfortable. Communication was a little slow but at least answered within 24 hours. Cleanliness of the place was mixed. It was very surface level clean on counters, floors and what not. The well water is hard and left stains on the tub, sinks and even shower liner which could throw someone off if they aren’t used to well water (we are). There was a lot of dust on the wood work/beams and even exposed wires, dents in walls, doors and some soft spots in the floor. No heat in bathroom either. We ensured to take pictures of all the things we noticed before moving our stuff in for timestamps. It definitely felt like it was being remodeled but in a rushed way where some things were painted sloppily or the trim work wasn’t finished. It wasn’t the best place we’ve stayed but it also wasn’t the worst either. It was warm, comfortable and as stated before, spacious.

This cabin was ideal for our family, offering a delightful experience. The two lofts were particularly enjoyed by the children and myself. The cleanliness and cozy, outdoor ambiance were exceptional. The hot tub was especially impressive, perfectly warm upon arrival, unlike other places. We certainly plan to return. Property management quick responses back. Thank you from Pennsylvania!

House was hard to find in the dark. No outside light left on. Hot tub was very relaxing.
