Cayuga Lake Cottage near Ithaca, Taughannock Falls State Park and Trumansburg, N

Beautiful location in the forest right next to the lake. It’s a very warm and cozy feeling. Just walk out the back door and you are within several feet of the shoreline. The only concern is to be aware of the stairs waI would recommend for anyone who wants to be on the lake and in a forest setting. Just walk down the steps from the parking area and into another world. The shoreline is literally steps from the back door.

We enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and we took advantage of having campfires on the beach while listening to the waves and birds. The cottage is quaint like stepping back in time, which made it easy to leave the stress of every day life behind! We also appreciated Wes, helping us find the location. Use Apple Maps, not Waze! The cottage has everything you need to make meals and relax. We hiked every day at the many parks nearby. The location is close to everything!

Our stay was great. We had a wonderful weekend with family.

The cottage was very clean and well appointed- it had everything we needed for our stay and the view was outstanding. Lots of stairs so not for anyone with any mobility issues but we’d definitely stay here again.

Everything went very well. Very clean, nicely updated. Air conditioning was very nice. Host was very easy to get in touch with.

Very nice setting. House has a nice yard with seating, a fire pit, a nice dock with built in table and seating. Small area to get into water for swimming which our 4 year old granddaughter loved. The inside of the house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The front porch has all windows with lake views which we enjoyed at night watching a lightning show over the lake. Nice modern bathroom. Kitchen was fully supplied. We enjoyed our time here.

All the amenities of home and amazing views- access to beautiful Cayuga Lake. Our boys enjoyed fishing and kayaking. Adults enjoyed the fire pit right next to the water at night. We all LOVED IT!!!

Beautiful spot on the lake and full of lake cottage charm inside. Has all the things you need to enjoy a rustic experience outside and feel cozy and as if it was your own home inside. Perfect for our family getaway and cant wait to go back!Good communication with host Wes made it all seamless

The property was lovely and had all the amenities. Right on the water. Less than half an hour to both Ithaca and Watkins Glen. We absolutely loved it here! The second half bath was a bit of an overstatement since it was in a separate unheated outbuilding but was not an issue since there were only two of us.

Clean and comfortable, cannot beat the view. Owner was accommodating and very responsive.

Perfect Fall weekend by the lake for the family -- it was too chilly to swim or kayak, but so peaceful, and just what we needed. We didn't want to leave, and can't wait to go back. Wes was very responsive and helpful with everything. I am glad we didn't bring the minivan because I don't know how it would've done getting to the cottage site once off the main road. Thank you, Wes, and we hope to be back soon!

The place is located right on the lake, has a private area for your group to enjoy as much as you want. Amazing property both from inside and outside👌

We were needing a few days away from home and this place was amazingly quiet.

This was perfect for us! We were visiting our daughter at Ithaca College for Applefest weekend. This cottage was perfect for our family. It was close enough to Ithaca yet just out of the fray of Applefest so we could enjoy the festivities but also escape to this beautiful lakeside cottage. The cabin was clean, well appointed with a spectacular waterfront view.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our five day visit at Canvasback. The location of the cottage was great and made it easy to access all of the waterfall state parks, wineries, and parts of the Cornell campus we had on our list. The sunroom was our favorite spot to relax and enjoy views of the lake. The cottage is comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. All in all, we had a wonderful time exploring the area and staying at Canvasback!

Lovely little cottage right on the water. Perfect escape from city life. Had all the basics we needed.

We had a great time at the little lake house. It was the perfect size for our family of four. I have two teenagers and they loved fishing and hanging out on the dock. The kayaks were also great. The weather was not great but. We took advantage of the nearby winery’s and state park

This was a lovely little house right on the lake. My favorite part was the sunroom that goes all along the side facing the lake. You can even sleep in there with the windows open (sort of like glamping!). If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood to enjoy some time on this beautiful lake, then I would recommend this listing.
