The castle of Montalto in Tuscany is a medieval hamlet with over 1000 years of history, surrounded by woods and farmland in the lovely and unspoiled Chianti hills near Siena.
Ten carefully restored villas and apartments, including a wing of the inner castle, are offered directly by the owner as self-catering accommodations sharing the swimming pool.
With its private chapel and banquet room, the castle is a spectacular venue for weddings and events.
Montalto in Toscana - La Voliera isa 1-bedroom cottage just outside the walls of the castle; its windows look down the hill to the woods. It has a small enclosed garden and adjacent parking.

The living room has a kitchen area, a sitting area and a dining table for two. The bedroom has a queen bed and windows on two sides. The bathroom has a tub with a shower on the wall over it.
