Loved the house! So charming and perfect for 2 couples! Plenty of dishes, towels, and coffee supplies. It is close to Main Street but in my opinion not necessarily walkable to the heart of main street where a majority of the shops and restaurants are. We drove. Would definitely book again and highly recommend!

The location is the best and not to mention the fireplaces. It was a chilly weekend, and we enjoyed our evenings with wine and the fireplace.

Celebrated our anniversaries together. Was nice for 2 couples. Roads were bit dark at night to walk. Uber was available fairly quickly. overall very nice stay.

Everything was great, home was clean and comfy. Having a few more towel's available would be great.

This property could use some attention. When we opened the door, we were greeted with a dead roach on the floor. There was no toilet paper in a bathroom so we had to make a run to the grocery store. The shower curtain and shower liner in both bathrooms had mold growing on them. Two bath towels had stains on them. After taking a shower, when placing our towel on the hook by the shower, the hook fell off the wall. The ceiling above the tub had drywall and paint bubbling and peeling due to a previous leak. When we climbed into bed, we discovered a hole in the sheet. Due to these issues, we did not feel safe using the hot tub. The cottage is convenient to the downtown area, and we appreciated that two couples could stay here and have privacy.

Beautiful little cottage, perfect for our girls trip! We woke up to two fawns laying in the backyard. The decor was adorable, had everything we needed. Check in & check out were very simple. Will keep this cottage in mind for future visits!!

Carbon monoxide monitor was beeping when we got there for a 3 night stay. Took them two visits to get it straight. Did not leave us comfortable enough to stay there. Also, you could see daylight through a wall and back door, moldy green shower head, rusty shower jets in tub and a large spider. Outside had tree limbs ready to fall and hot tub area not clean. Not up to standard of any VRBO we have stayed in.

Bowie Cottage was just wonderful. Having two separate areas for sleeping and two separate bathrooms was a bonus. The price was so reasonable. The Cottage was very clean, except for the air vents, especially near the bed in the first section. Thank you!

this was our all-time favorite VRBO stay. Property was lovely. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Would definitely suggest the Bowie cottage.

The cottage was charming and very comfortable for a girl's trip with separate bedroom and bathrooms for each of us. My rating would have been much higher but for one significant problem. There was no hot water. And the outside temp was in the 30's. I called Gasthaus as we were checking out to report this problem but got a recording and did not know if this concern was received before the next guest stayed in the house.

First, the good. This side is quite nice and charming. It has a small bar with an extra sink and a commercial roll out for hanging clothes. It has a nice little sitting area with a fireplace. Keep reading. For the bad, if you have two couples, which was the case for us. There were no doors to the bedroom’s not even a curtain. Then, the bath/shower is treacherous. I had to get help from my husband to get safely out. It was very tall and enveloped in rocks. The step leading up into the shower jagged rock and it needs hand rails. Maybe it’s just a deal with short people, but the bathroom vanity is too tall. The bed we got was hard and uncomfortable. The other bed was soft and comfortable. I could actually see day light or moon light between rocks and doorways. So, for this cottage, I wouldn’t go with a 2 couple scenario.

The inside was clean, a little musty and the tub very dated. The outside needed a lot of love. Did not enjoy sitting out like we thought we would. Not exactly where I was thinking the location was.

Terrific location walking distance to Main St., the place where everything happens. Easy drive to wineries and Enchanted Rock. Just a great getaway weekend and our VRBO didn't disappoint. I would definitely stay here again. No kitchen seemed odd, but we ate out (Hangar Diner, Sunset Grill, etc.) and didn't really miss it. I recommend this trip and location, highly!!
