Beautiful Portsmouth Cottage By the Sea w/ Jacuzzi

This house was gorgeous! Well stocked, very welcoming. In a great neighborhood with the most gorgeous views of the water and very convenient to lots of restaurants, Newport, Bristol, Fall River. The only downside was we were really looking forward to using the hot tub, and specifically booked this house because of the hot tub, but the water was green and it had a bad smell. I emailed the property manager shortly after arrival, and she said she would send someone to check, but then we never heard anymore. I’m still giving it a 5 star rating, because it was one of the best neighborhoods we’ve ever seen and the owners did a fabulous job with stocking everything we would need and labeling things around the house. The property was clean and pet-friendly. The location was ideal - you can walk right to a small beach, bring bikes or walk to a little bit further beach. Neighbors were all very nice and lots of dogs in the neighborhood. Easy to explore Newport, Providence and more. Very close drive to Roger Williams. I think it should be clarified that the bedroom with twin beds is only accessible via the upstairs bedroom as the back spiral staircase is posted as not for general use. The familiy has done a wonderful job of making the house easy to understand and navigate but I had difficulty getting the property management company (Evolve) to answer my emails and VRBO messages, which was disappointing. None of my attempts to communicate prior to the stay were ever answered.

Property was immaculate and as presented. Check-in was a breeze. Perfect for five adults. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall a great stay, the beach area was perfect for our small kids and the house was set up well for a multigenerational stay. Only complaint would be that the hot tub and 2 out of 3 of the bikes were not usable due to flat tires and rust. Definitely not a deal breaker for us though and I'd recommend or stay here again!

Proximity to the next was excellent. The property Manager was not responsive with my questions and actually some of the information given was not correct.

Very thoughtful hosts. There were kayaks, air hockey plus game table, well appointed kitchen. It was a short walk to the water. It met all the needs of the family including a separate place for dad work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well-stocked with extras, making it a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the area. The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to do. It was a very relaxing time, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much.They put alot of thought into what we would need for our convenience. very cleanthe only thing we found uncomfortable was the couch otherwise everything else was perfect

We enjoyed our stay and loved the location! The bay was less than a block away and a really nice neighborhood to walk. The Host thought of everything to make our stay nice! Easy trip to Newport and wineries!

Truly loved the place! So accommodating, peaceful, beautiful. Comforts of home while away from home. Quiet neighborhood. Just a short walk to the waters’ edge. Friendly people. For my husband and myself it was our first trip the New England area. Our son and daughter-in-law thoroughly enjoyed it also. The Cottage by the sea was perfect. Will most definitely return to the Cottage by the sea. Owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. They provided a sweet gift bag, and extra toiletries in case you might have forgotten something. Thank you for the awesome hospitality. God bless you!

The home was lovely and had everything we needed to cook meals for the family. Half a block from the water made beautiful morning walks. Really appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. Will come back again.
