Stayed Sep 22, 2025You can't beat the ocean view or access to the beach. The house was a little rustic but soooo peaceful. We would enjoy staying there again.

Stayed Sep 1, 2025We booked this property for the direct beach access, as we were traveling with a 1- and 3-year-old. The location is pretty and the beach felt private, but the shoreline is very rocky—water shoes are a must and it was difficult for our kids to enjoy. We also booked a three-bedroom home so our infant could have a separate space, but it wasn’t clear from the listing that the third bedroom is only accessible from the outside, which we didn’t feel comfortable using with small children.Mid-stay, the central air broke. While we understand issues happen, it seemed frequent enough that fans and a single window unit were already provided as backup. Unfortunately, these were not nearly sufficient to cool the bedrooms. Our children cannot sleep with windows open, and their room reached 79 degrees at night even with a fan. When I contacted New England Realty, their response was dismissive—“it will be cool enough” and “these older cottages are finicky.” When we expressed our frustration no follow-up effort was made to resolve the situation. The house itself is very dated and not child-friendly, with exposed wires, extremely small showers, and no bathtub. There was also no way to really help keep the sand to a minimum as I tried to vacuum throughout the stay but the vacuum provided was very old and not working well. Overall, while the setting is nice, we would not book this property again.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025We had a wonderful few days here! The house was very clean and well-stocked for a family of four - cozy, nostalgic beach house feel, as we could tell from the pictures, but charming and comfortable. And the beach just outside the door was so quiet and beautiful, we spent most of our time on the porch or beach, soaking up the sun. Perfect stay!

Stayed Oct 20, 2023There are several things at this property that need serious updating. I understand that the main appeal is the oceanfront, which was very nice. However, being that our stay was for a week, we needed to spend time inside as well. The bathroom in the upper house is very small, and the size of the shower is unrealistic for any grown adult. It was nearly impossible to shower without banging your arms against the walls and the angle was very awkward. It’s tiny. There is no fan and no plugs! The master bedroom mattress was similar to sleeping on a hard floor. We went and bought a memory foam pad after the first night because waking up the next morning was genuinely painful. We left it for the next guests. The view of the ocean from the living room is beautiful during the day, but we would have liked the choice to be able to have curtains at nighttime as the black from the windows made us feel a little uncomfortable. We noticed the garbage bins outside were completely full from before our stay. The location of this home is ideal. The exterior was great, although as we were sitting outside on the deck having breakfast, we didn’t get to enjoy the view as the bushes in front of us weren’t trimmed. The inside of the house has so much potential but honestly needs some serious updates. We didn’t stay in the lower level at all, but that also needs some obvious updating.. we’re not the type of people to complain, we just needed to state some honest comments!
