Welcome to Bayshore Boathouse! A home designed by a renowned local architect to look like the inside of a ship. This waterfront home sits off of iconic M22 right on West Bay. Enjoy the 170 ft of direct water frontage. You will feel like you are floating over the water while relaxing on the large back deck. The home is directly between Traverse City and Suttons Bay in the heart of Leelanau wine country. Be to either city in less than 15 minutes. Both boast an amazing food and brewery scene.
While staying at the Bayshore Boathouse, the entire property is yours to use. The home provides two bedrooms to relax in. The first bedroom is upstairs. It holds a king bed and provides the most amazing views of West Bay. Catch the sunrise right from bed in the morning! The area also has a desk if you are needing to get some work done. On the main level is an additional bedroom with two twin beds. This room also boasts awesome views of the bay. Kids will love the vintage VHS movies to watch in the room!
Gather in the family room which has plenty of relaxing seating for everyone. A smart TV is provided for use with streaming live channels and all the apps you need to keep up with your favorite shows. There is a sleeper sofa in this room which can accommodate another adult or two children.
Step out onto the extensive deck, where you will feel like you are floating on the water. Jump off the dock into the sandy bottom water. Use all 170 feet of water frontage during your time here. Take a swim, hang out on the dock, enjoy a bon fire or have kayaks and stand up paddle boards delivered for your use. The options are endless!
The dock is seasonal, with placement typically in June and removal in October.
A smart lock means you are able to check in and out at your convenience. The entire home is yours to use during your time here. There are parking spaces for 2 cars in the driveway and two additional in a widened area along the road.
This is our vacation home. While we will not be there, Kara our co-host is local and can be to the location if needed.
The house is central to everything Leelanau and Traverse City has to offer. Minutes to both Traverse City and Sutton’s Bay. Close to so many wineries and breweries including; Sutton’s Bay Ciders, Mawby, TwoK Cidery, Hop Lot Brewery, Brengman Brothers, Shady Lane Cellars, Ciccone Winery, and so many more!
The home does sit on iconic M22, which can create some traffic noise.
There are no boats or kayaks provided on the property. We welcome you to bring water rentals to the property during your stay!
There are some steeper stairs to access the bedroom with the King bed.
The Dock is seasonal. Typically June-October but dates vary depending on dock company availability.
Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

No additional guests overnight beyond who is listed on the reservation.
Please do not put anything down toilet besides provided toilet paper.
Property/Home owner and anyone involved with the management of the property, will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property.
Owner/management are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it was agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property.
Owner/manager are not liable for any injury to anyone from the use of Lake Michigan and dock that extends into Lake Michigan.
Owner/manager can not be held liable for use of any rental or owned equipment used on the property or Lake Michigan.
