Not a single thing that we did not like. Dawn and David are amazing and were always available when we had questions. They offered wonderful suggestions about activities and made our stay an absolute joy! Will be our go-to home away from home on the island. If you’re looking for seclusion and classical elegance while maintaining cultural standards then go to Bayleaf!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little cottage in Micoud. Nestled in the woods and just a short 5–10 minute walk to the beach, the location was peaceful, secluded, and truly stunning. It felt like a hidden gem — the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The host was incredible — so kind, welcoming, and attentive. She provided clear instructions before arrival, checked in with us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My wife has several chronic illnesses, and the host went above and beyond to make accommodations that would support her health and comfort. We were deeply touched by the care and thoughtfulness she showed throughout our stay.Unfortunately, we did have to cut our trip short for medical reasons and return home early. But our host was extremely understanding and caring to us about the situation and made it that much easier for us through it all. The heat and humidity during this time of year proved too intense for my wife’s condition. That said, this is no fault of the host — just something to keep in mind for travelers who are especially sensitive to warmer climates. A trip later in the year when it’s cooler might have been a better fit for us.All in all, this cottage is a dream — tranquil, beautiful, and hosted by someone who truly cares. We wish we could have stayed the entire time, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway in nature.

Bayleaf was absolutely perfect for us. Located in the south, away from the tourist zone in the north. Wonderful airy, comfortable cottage set in the woods with just a seven minute walk down a path to a beach all to yourselves.Dawn our host was fabulous who made sure we had everything we needed. If you want a relaxing and quiet couple trip, beach, walks … this place hits all the notes. You will want to rent a car for groceries and restaurants and to cruise around and see the island, assuming you don’t mind driving very, up and down hairpins and narrow roads. (Stay left).Highly recommended. Thanks Sawn and Dave for a wonderful week.

Dawn was so communicative and met us at the house on arrival. She thought of everything and checked in with us frequently to be sure we had everything we needed including recommendations for groceries, restaurants, and beaches. The cottage itself was perfect and just like the pictures. You can hear the ocean from the cottage and it’s just a short walk away. The road coming in is in rough shape and even with an SUV we bottomed out on the rocks. We knew that going in, so not really a complaint, but something to be aware of. I highly recommend this rental if you want privacy and a peaceful trip.

Great place. VERY comfortable for two people--spacious. Wonderful outdoor shower. Super Quiet . . .except for the distant sound of the ocean. Zero traffic or people noise. A little out of the way--you must have transport (rent an SUV for the ground clearance) to access restaurants and explore the island but otherwise great. Walk to your own private gorgeous beach. The host Dawn just wonderful--very accommodating and NICE! We loved our week there.

Loved, loved, LOVED the cottage. We were delayed leaving the airport and Dawn graciously waited for us. She was extremely helpful getting us settled in and with ideas/hikes in the area. Great communications. Cottage was just a quick walk from a very secluded beach which we enjoyed throughly.

We stayed at Bayleaf for 5 nights. Dawn the host was fabulous and was always quick to respond with any questions or recommendations we had while visiting the island. The neighborhood where Bayleaf is located is off the beaten path a little and tucked into the woods, we felt safe and welcomed our entire stay!We will be back. Thank you Dawn!

From the moment we arrived at Bayleaf, it was clear that this wasn't just another holiday rental: tucked away near a secluded beach, our stay at Bayleaf offered an unparalleled back-to-nature experience. The wooden jalousie cottage, artfully decorated with beautiful local decorative accents blends seamlessly into the lush surroundings and invites you to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. One of the highlights of our experience (thoughtfully coordinated by our host Dawn) was the meal catered by a local chef of local cuisine cooked on the traditional St. Lucian clay ovens. We dined alfresco amidst the trees and the food was an absolute delight - the experience was something truly special. Communication with the Dawn is exemplary ensuring every need is met with promptness and a personal touch. (We could just text via Whatsapp, making our stay truly comfortable and hassle-free). Bayleaf's location is a treasure trove for those seeking authenticity. The proximity to pristine beaches, often deserted, offers a rare luxury and an compelling alternative to the islands other crowded destinations (which are all accessible by choice with around a 45 minute drive). The outdoor amenities, including beach towels, portable hammocks, and a cooler, encourage spontaneous adventures to the nearby shores or leisurely days spent under the stars. Thank you again for such a lovely stay Dawn, and I am sure we will be seeing you again in the future!

Everything was exactly as described including the secluded beach only a short walk away. The caretaker was extremely helpful and more than willing to accommodate our request for a cooler so that we could take cold beverages to ”our” private beach. The amenities were ample, including a fully functioning kitchen, gas grill, which we used on multiple evenings, and a spacious outdoor shower. Nearby to the house are wonderful trails for horseback riding (Atlantic Shores Riding Stables) and a bar called Island Breeze, which served up cold Red Stripes, tasty margaritas, and crisp chicken fingers, and other great food to accompany a beautiful sunset. If Daran or Annalee Is your server, you’re all set!!! After a week at BAYLEAF, we were ready to stay another week, and another, and another.
