Wicklow is an Andrews, North Carolina getaway with the privacy of cabin lodging. The decoration is somewhat shabby chic and upscale cabin lodging. We often get comments about the high quality of the furnishings, bedding and linens. People feel immediately comfortable! (Please see the feedback and comments from past guests.) You will find a mini library and plenty of games to entertain yourself or the kids! We recently enlarged the stocked fishing pond, added a new horseshoe pit as well as a 10ft high waterfall that empties into a wading pool with sandy beach. Visit with our miniature donkeys that reside in our pasture.
The lodge has a spacious feel with 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and 2 family rooms featuring large flat panel cable TV with DVD. Sunshine fills the upstairs living area by day, and the large stone fire pit and Adirondack chairs afford cozy nights by the fire. The fully equipped kitchen features oven, stove, refrigerator, large microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker and additional small appliances. The antique farmhouse dining table with handmade bench and Windsor style chairs can seat up to eight. You have everything you need to prepare a homemade family feast.

Loved our stay at Wicklow Woods and will be returning next year. Grandchildren had a wonderful time playing in the creek and wading pool, feeding the donkeys and having s’mores around the fire. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. Highly recommend.
My grand kids loved the property and all the things they could do. Two of them get hornet bites, one in the eye while petting donkeys. That ended that adventure. The lower floor of the house was horribly damp. There were many spiders and other bugs in the house. My granddaughter wouldnt slee. If my kids go back again, good for i won't p inher assigned room because of spiders on the wall and in corner of closet. The kitchen had little black ants all over. Direct tv is not my favorite and phone reception was spotty. Its a very long way from town, if you like that good.
My family and I were so upset when we arrived at this property. The mold/mildew smell was unbearable. The place was also dirty. We had to cancel our vacation plans and go home. It is not nice to rent this place out to people.
This property is absolutely fantastic for a family or group. From the grounds which were just stunning (creek’s, small water falls, feeding the donkeys, fishing pond..), it was perfect for our family! The kitchen is stocked with essential gadgets, silverware, pots, etc. which was helpful. Comfortable beds. We truly enjoyed our week stay. But… I will say there are some issues that need to be addressed. BLACK ANTS. They were all over the kitchen. If you leave ANYTHING on the counters, it will be invaded by ants. We had to throw some things away due forgetting to put it away or not putting it in a sealed container. Be warned. Leave nothing on the counters. There was a board on the deck/patio we noticed that had a hole in it. After walking on this deck while we were there, a huge hole appeared. Dangerous if it’s not fixed soon. The downstairs toilet moved every time it was used. There was an odor of mold, musty smell in one bedroom downstairs & one upstairs. Not sure where that was coming from. If there is a large group (which we were), more kitchen towels should be available. We had 4 teenagers with us. The Wi-Fi/internet was horrible. They were not happy. Very spotty or non existent. It worked better outside than inside. The good thing.. no Wi-Fi made them go outside and enjoy their wonderful outdoor things Wicklow had to offer. Wicklow is a great choice to family’s wanting a big enough place to be comfortable, plenty of amenities.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Wonderful location and very relaxing. We only we we could have stayed longer. The beds were comfortable. No issues. We will book here again.
Very happy
A wonderful property to relax and get away from it all. Owners were friendly and accommodating. The driveway could be a handful if traveling by motorcycle, but definitely manageable. Brings carrots for the donkeys.
Property is lovely with a creek running through it. House was spacious and worked well for us. Upon arriving we found there was an invasion of ants but the owners, Robin and April, responded immediately. There are a/c units both upstairs and downstairs but not in the bedrooms. I kept the doors opened to the bedrooms during the day to keep the rooms cool, so it wasn't a problem. My grandkids loved the friendly mini donkeys and playing in the stream and the adults enjoyed horseshoes, while I enjoyed walking the property trying to identify various trees and reading by the stream. My husband had to work quite a bit and found the internet connection sufficient (that was a must for him). We would definitely consider returning! We took a day trip to the Smokey Mountains don't miss Mingus Mill or the Mountain Farm Museum if you head that way. We loved 2nd Story Entertainment Mini Golf in Blue Ridge and the Cuban food at Rum Cake Lady also in Blue Ridge. We had a wonderful afternoon exploring at Leatherwood Falls about 35 minutes away (no crowds and the trails were filled with interesting things for the kids to explore) We ended our stay with an all day rafting trip down the Ocoee River!
Close to Andrews with the privacy of wooded area. Host responds quickly and was very friendly when met property owners in the road into cabin.
A small group of friends spent the weekend during a Christian marriage conference and it was perfect for is
