We stayed in late December. The house was a great stay! Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The fireplace was awesome! Bed was very comfortable. It was nice there was a keurig available with coffees, sugar and creamer as well. Loved our stay.
Nothing tops the comfort and welcoming feeling ! A quaint cottage! After a day of exploring the shops and beauty of Brown County we look forward to our time in the hot tub. Yes, our favorite place in Brown County!
Short walk to everything and short drive to Brown County State Park and Hard Truth Hills. Do not count on the fence alone to restrain your pups, at some points it’s about 2 feet tall. The house is rustic and has the typical wonkiness and charm of an old restored house. It has the smell of a building on a dirt basement, recommend turning on the A/C and fan asap. With a little landscaping, a new bathroom fan that isn’t so loud, a dehumidifier and a new entry door the property could be greatly improved.
Convenient and historial home. Walking distance to Nashville and quiet get away.
Great location and perfect with a small pet. We loved it and would stay again. Clean and comfortable but location was everything
We will be back.
Sat down on the sofa and my clothes were covered with dog hair, dog hair on the kitchen table. Internet was off so the tv wouldn't work without internet. Outside of the property needs work, steps and stairs not very safe.
When we first went in, it seemed nice. But, when we realized that the grill was not useable, jets and some features of the hot tub didn't work. We could not get the internet to work. But the worst was that the FENCE IS NOT SECURE. We had to set up our own enclosure for our dog to go out. The dog door was useless. We chose the property for the fact that we could let our dog go in and out as he needed and we were not able to do that. I would not recommend this property.
My mother and I enjoyed this cute, quaint cottage. Being located near the end of the main strip, made access to shops and restaurants convenient. Communication with the property manager was prompt and easy.
Really cute space for a group of 4 friends to spend the weekend. Fireplace kept us warm. Beds were firm and cozy. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Great location to walk the town
Nice place within walking distance of most things
The house is on an odd shaped lot - An oval with pointy ends - and with the exception of the porch, feels surprisingly private given the location. The exterior needs TLC and a good weeding. The interior was clean and as pictured with the exception of the missing chaise lounge in the larger bedroom. Also noteworthy, the bathroom is an en-suite attached to the smaller bedroom which was unexpected. It worked fine for us, but could be awkward depending on the group. And if you are lucky enough to get the bathroom room, beware the bed is abnormally short so your feet will probably hang off. Also the fan is mighty loud so don’t plan on sleeping while anyone uses the restroom. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked and all of the cleaning, paper and toiletries were supplied which was nice. We also enjoyed the Roku and picked a spooky movie to watch on our October stay. The proximity to shops was perfect for our teen boys who popped in to empty their wallets a couple of times. And just at the end of the street was Heavenly Biscuit (highly recommend) and Brown Bike (good spot for a drink and people watching). Also, the Rock Shop where you can buy a bag of gems or fossils and pan for treasure. Then you must hit the Hob Knob for dinner before heading back to settle in. Which reminds me, the curtains are light weight so if you enjoy a dark bedroom you better bring a sheet to cover the window. Check in and out were easy and convenient and Eric was quick to respond to inquiries.
The property is very cute and situated right in downtown Nashville. The interior had a lot of vintage charm and the small fenced outdoor area was great for the dog (but he really like the beautiful grounds around the library right next door).
Sweet cottage. Within walking distance to the shops, galleries and restaurants. Will definitely be back!
This property was close to everything. PROS: - Quiet - Close to everything - Nice vauted ceiling - Pretty fireplace - Nice hottub - Nice bedroom pillows - Beautiful hardwood floors - Comfy living room furniture CONS: - No bikes included as listing stated. - Side porch needed a cleaning from dust and cobwebs. - Main door had damage by lock where it looked like someone broke in and they didn't replace the door. -Small beds. - Creaky floors. Overall it is a very cute cottage. A king sized bed would be nice in the big bedroom. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
We really loved this house and the proximity to restaurants and shops. It was quiet and we enjoyed the hottub. The only problems we noted were that the landscaping was overgrown and the bathroom fan was really loud and connected to the light so you couldn't turn it off.
Very pleasant accommodations. Clean and welcoming. Great communication with host. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.
I rented this property to celebrate my parent’s 60th wedding anniversary. As soon as we opened the door, we were hit with the smell of gas. It was determined that it was coming from the fireplace. How the cleaning crew did not smell it is beyond me. After we had all of our belongings moved in it was determined that we had to move toStagecoach…:for one night. The moving back and forth really affected our day in Nashville. Beware of the contract as it covers Moondance from refunding any money due inconvenience on the guest part even if the inconvenience is due to their negligence. When we moved back, we still smelled gas all night long so beware if you stay here. One more thing, the rental only had one bathroom that can only be accessed through one of the bedrooms. Very inconvenient at night. If you are thinking of renting Stagecoach, there is a major ant problem in the kitchen and the water/sub pumps are very noisy at night. Needless to say I cannot recommend Moondance or their properties.
Very disappointed at exterior based on advertised picture. Made me not want to go in, but I did and thankfully, it was very nice and cozy. Also did not know where to park. Love the history, location and once inside. All was well. The outside has sooo much potential...help!
Super experience! Right downtown in walking distance to all the shops!
