Plenty of space for a family of 4. Kitchen well fitted. Comfortable bedding. A mere 5 min drive from Boothbay Harbor. Really quite neighborhood. Would love to go back during summer time to enjoy the lake.
Loved the pond!
Beautiful place to stay when visiting Boothbay
We loved the location, set up of the house, linens, fully stocked kitchen and the surroundings. A little more attention to the cleaning of the house - dust, cobwebs would have been nice.
The setting of this home is wonderful. Quiet, beautiful, lakeside home in Booth Bay Harbor.
nice quiet location, lots of room in the house, everything was clean and nice except the upstairs bathroom needs a new shower curtain liner and there needs to be some work on the shower/tub, outdated and a bit musty
This house was as advertised in that all the amenities listed were included plus a couple of bonus ones not mentioned like the hiking trail in the community at the end of the road! Generally speaking the location was lovely, very peaceful, and still close to town which is what we were looking for. Nearby there is also a YMCA that for a $10 daily fee allows you to do the classes that are offered as well as use the gym which was only a 8 minute drive from the house and a great option for the many rainy days we had with this stay. The house also had a puzzle which was nice and the thrift store in town proved to be a cheap way to get more puzzles. The road itself is quiet and was a nice place to walk our two dogs. The reasons we knocked a star off was because a) my mom cut her foot on a piece of glass on the floor (not from anything that was broken by us), b) the step up from the porch thru the front door was high which was difficult for my mom with her bad knee c) again our stay was rainy and the remote batteries didn't work it took about 3 hours for someone to come out and deliver batteries to us which for a rainy day not having access to a tv was a bit unfortunate and d) the down comforters and furniture was not mentioned and I am allergic to down so not realizing this definitely triggered my allergies and if I had known in advance we would've brought our own blankets/pillows but it was generally worth the money and was a nice house overall
Three friends rented this house and it was clean, comfortable spacious, private and quiet. A wonderful place! The location is really nice since there is private access to the pond and the ocean is a short walk away. The Maine Botanical Gardens are nearby which is an amazing place to go. Another day we went to Pemaquid lighthouse. I highly recommend this house as a great place to stay!
We had an amazing time with our family of four. Very clean, easy check in process and we loved the property, right on the water with great views. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and canoe and loved the fire pit right by the lake. Would highly recommend this property for a family stay!!
The pictures on the website of this house do not do it justice. The house is large and sits on a nicely private lot. It slopes gently to the pond which you can see from the house. The house is immaculate and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels very nice and generously stocked. The laundry room is adorable and very handy on the second floor. Since we were there after Columbus Day, the neighborhood was very quiet. (Many of the shops and restaurants in Boothbay, and other parts of Maine, shut down on Columbus Day. Still plenty to do but if you are counting on visiting a particular one, call ahead!). My husband enjoyed the small kayak and canoe on the pond, but it does not connect to the larger body of water as it shows on some maps. There is a little beach further down the road and that would be fun, especially for small children, in the summer. There were lots of places to walk the dogs and Boothbay itself is dog friendly. It is possible to walk to town as many, apparently fit, people have pointed out,, just as it is technically possible to walk to California. But it is 31 minutes according to the GPS and uphill at least one way if not both depending on your route. It took this old lady closer to 40 and I took a local taxi back with my packages, which I was lucky to get as no Uber/Lyft was available. (the taxi driver was great!) I would definitely book this home again and hope that I can someday!
We loved the canoe, the dock, the sunset over the pond and swimming at the pond beach. The house was great for cooking and so close to many restaurants, bakeries, and beautiful coastal destinations. We want to come back!
Beautiful lake front property. Highly recommended!
We loved this house! From here we were able to walk into town as well as Barrett park. Our dog loved the pond and we enjoyed fishing and kayaking in it as well. We just wished there would have been fans for the bedrooms- they got a little stuffy at night and wished we would have brought one along with us.
Nice waterfront house in a peaceful lake community with a small beach, minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor. Firepit right next to the dock with kayaks and a canoe.
We loved our stay at this cabin! Check-in was easy, the cabin was very clean, plenty of space for our family (and dogs!). We loved the location being so close to the harbor. We fished, kayaked, enjoyed coffee on the dock and s'mores by the fire pit. Very relaxing, and plenty to do!
Beautiful place equipped with everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave.
