Amazing View - Haystack Rock and the Needles

Lovely little cottage with view over the rooftops of Haystack rock. Recently remodeled and updated. Kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. The upstairs is one big room with several beds and a half bath. The other bedroom and a full bath are downstairs. We only had 2 adults and one teen so it was plenty big enough for us. Easy walk down the hill to the beach. Would definitely book again!

We had the most magical stay at Peggy’s property—it truly felt like stepping into a hidden retreat. The photos don’t even begin to capture how breathtaking the home is in person. Every detail is thoughtfully curated: it’s impeccably clean, beautifully spacious, and filled with everything you could possibly need.We arrived late at night and slipped straight into bed, but waking up was unforgettable—the Haystack in all its quiet majesty stood just beyond the window, like something out of a dream. Absolutely stunning.The beach is just a short, effortless walk away, with the home perfectly situated along a direct path, making every moment feel easy and serene. It was the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. I pray we make it back one day. If we do, we'll definitely stay here again.

House is very clean! We really appreciated the minimal use of fragrance throughout, made our stay much more enjoyable - that’s hard to come by when staying in vrbo. House has everything you need and can’t beat the view! Easy to navigate and get to/from town!

The location of the property is incredible and it was extremely clean and extremely well appointed with everything we needed. Great books, puzzles, games and comfortable beds. We loved our visit to Cannon Beach!

Having Haystack Rock right outside our living room window and front porch was simply amazing! We’ve never stayed in a cooler place! Everything in the house was just as good as the view, clean and comfortable. We would encourage visitors to go to the beach not just during the day or at sunset, but also at night. If it’s not cloudy, you can see a million stars! We hope to visit here again one day!

Perfect getaway! Lovely remodeled house with all the amenities. Perfect view of Haystack Rock right out in front. You’re up on the hill so it’s 56 (I counted) steps down to the sand….a great workout coming back up. We were blessed with great weather so we had a fire on the beach one night. We ate at the Driftwood twice. Great food.

Just a quick walk down to the beach! House had everything we needed and more, beach chairs, binoculars, even long sticks to roast hot dogs over our beachside campfire. Lovely!

This home is as beautiful and lovely as described! Situated atop a hill overlooking Haystack Rock with a direct easy path to the beach makes this the perfect location for a trip to Cannon Beach! We loved that it was close to town but just far enough removed to be quiet and less congested than the busy summer crowds in CB. It is evident that this home is loved. You can feel warm fuzzies of memories shared over the years. My niece and I had so much fun here, it was hard to leave! The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you could possibly want or need to prepare meals. We also appreciated the games and puzzles, as well as the beach toys/buckets. Thank you for a lovely stay, can’t wait to visit again!

Home was cozy and very clean. Great location and very quiet aside from some construction noise. The only downside was that the BBQ was moldy and did not burn well so we were not able to cook our meat and hot dogs that we brought with us. Other than that , a great place to stay!

This is such a great property! Have stayed here a couple of times before and everything you need is there. The weather was perfect and we all had a wonderful time. I would recommend this rental to everyone!

Excellent. Accommodates my family of 5 beautifully. Location is fantastic in relationship to all beaches, especially Cannon Beach which is steps away from property. Cozy, delightfully furnished and comfortable. Communication with host was excellent. Lovely vacation location.

This house was very close to haystack rock, which has the best tidal pools. There are lots of birds nesting there as well. It was very quiet and restful there.

The house was perfect for our stay. We had 2 cars and the parking was a little difficult. But, overall it was a beautiful view of the beach.

Beautiful view of Haystack rock and great access to the beach. Cottage was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed.Very short drive to shops and restaurants. We loved Castaways and Anna’s Table for dinner. Being able to walk down to Haystack Rock for sunset after dinner was fantastic!

The location was perfect for enjoying the beach. The Eagles were a special treat daily that flew and perched on the top of Haystack Rock. The tide pools at the base of Haystack were abundant with starfish and urchins. It was fun to explore and being so close to the beach made it perfect.

This home was absolutely perfect for my family's stay at Cannon Beach. The view of Haystack Rock exceeded my expectations. We were able to see the eagles perched on top of Haystack Rock right from the sofa using binoculars. The home is also very close to the beach access stairs. Another major perk of this home was that it is easily accessible for people with mobility issues. There is only only step to get into the home. The master bedroom and master bathroom are both located on the ground floor. My disabled mother was extremely satisfied with her stay. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return one day!

This was the perfect spot to enjoy Cannon Beach! Beautiful view from the house, and a quick walk down to the beach and Haystack rock. Also very close to restaurants downtown. We loved it and hope to be back in the future!

This is a darling, immaculate, updated 1940 cottage. Small, but perfect for us. And room for many to sleep, which would work especially well in the summer when most of your time would be spent outdoors. The view of Haystack Rock is awesome, though there are electric wires and homes blocking it a bit. Beach access is easy. It seems clear that the owners have invested in the inside; the next step might be to improve the parking, which is not ideal. Still - we are hoping to visit again. It has become our new favorite Cannon Beach hideaway.

Great location and views of haystack rock. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace.

The view of the beach and Haystack Rock are great. We watched surfers in the morning from living/dining room area. And the waves all afternoon. There was enough room for 5 of us. Even though there’s only one full bath downstairs and half bath for upstairs it all worked out. I would book this house again in the future.

Great location, very clean, tastefully rebuilt historic home. The woodwork is a bit fragile, which you should consider for your family makeup.

This was a girlfriend trip and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is beautifully furnished and well cared for. Beach access is steps away and the view of Haystack was fabulous.

Our stay was really nice. The house was darling and well-appointed. We were very close to everything Canon Beach had to offer. Even though we had a car, we could walk everywhere.

This adorable restored family home clearly had a lot of love put into it and attention to details. It had plenty of room for our family of 4. Very short walk to the beach, lots to walk to in town both north and south. Didn’t do a lot of cooking, but kitchen was very well stocked. Super clean and beds were very comfortable. Easy gas fireplace to keep the house warm during the cooler nights. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. Thank you!!

This was our first stay with family at this incredible location. The cottage is immaculate with outstanding views and very well appointed. Enjoyed a very quiet cliffside neighborhood setting with close beach stair access to Haystack Rock. You may hear elk bugling in the evenings with an occasional elk siting right off the driveway. We look forward to returning in the future! We want to thank Peggy & Amy for this memorable experience.

What a pretty, sparkling clean, comfortable beach house! It was better than the listing info. Everything was so clean, well maintained and orderly. We loved it!

Very comfortable …and relaxing spot ..this is our second time here. The house is well equipped .everything you need is in the kitchen.! the view is amazing and a short walk to the sand. We are so grateful to have been able to stay again. Hope we can come again.!

We felt very fortunate to stay at this house. Though an older property we loved the charm of the cottage and the fact that the owners have continuously updated it to provide a comfortable atmosphere. I can't think of anything that we didn't find at the house that we wished they had, kitchen was very well stocked etc... It was nice to stay somewhere where you could tell the owners had very much a pride of ownership of the property. The views from the house as well as the deck were great and access to the beach was just a short walk down the hill to the public access point (which was just rebuilt).

Every time we walked into the living and saw Haystack Rock, so close, it was special. The house is perfect. Clean, well stocked and, plenty of room. A very short walk to the beach. Evening campfires, smores and sunsets. What else do you need. Loved our stay. The owners have done fantastic work, in every detail, renovating the entire house. Thank you!

Perfect. The newly remodeled house is well thought out and beautifully decorated. We noticed every single detail. The beds were very comfortable. We left the windows open and heard the ocean all night. It is a short walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the main part of Canon Beach. The kitchen was the most well equipped of any place we had ever stayed. Loved it.

This property has a gorgeous view of haystack rock! We enjoyed watching the sunsets in the evening very much. This is a very clean property, with chairs and beach toys you can borrow for the beach. A short walk to get to public access to beach. Only drawback was that the beach access closest to the house is closed. We would stay here again ;)
