Adorable Unique Rental in West Dennis, MA Unit 4

This place had everything we needed for our home base on a 5-day trip to the Cape. The location was great for us - reachable in 3 hours, then within 30 minutes of most sites we wanted to see and 1 hour from P’town. It was lovely starting each day in the quiet neighborhood, cooking eggs & toast and reading at the picnic table outside. A/Cs worked great to cool the place quickly when we checked in at 4 pm on a 95 day, and there was plenty of ice in the freezer. Super clean and well maintained. We appreciated having additional mirrors outside the bathroom, to put on sunscreen without knocking elbows. Would definitely stay again!

The location was great, and communication with the host was phenomenal. When we arrive the AC was not on though and our baby did not do well with the heat. They do supply a couple rotating fans, but we had to go out an buy an extra at the Home Depot about 20mins away for the stay because the place didn’t cool down enough for our baby during the day. At night it did drop down to about 72, so that was better. Also our baby had a really bad allergic reaction to the place the whole time we were there. She’s very sensitive already with her skin, so I don’t know if it was the air that did it or what because the place was clean! We bought an air purifier from a Home Depot to help with her coughing and sneezing though and it seemed to help a little bit. The next day after we left her allergies were almost all the way cleared up, so the doctor said it was safe to say it was environmental. But like I said, the place was physically very clean, so something to consider if you have really sensitive allergies. Either way, it was a cute place to stay short term. They have a lot of nice things to add for use like a grill, beach chairs if you need them, and even provide a couple fans for the cottage to use because the AC doesn’t work that well on a hot summer day!
