Vår Vik is secluded and sheltered on spacious private grounds. It has a large kitchen with extensive facilities, such as dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, blender, sandwich maker, coffee filter machine, etc. The wood stove in the kitchen can heat the entire house!
Downstairs is a bedroom with a large double bed. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a double bed. These two rooms are attractive for children due to their private character and are less accessible for tall people. All possible equipment is available, such as TV, player, radio, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, iron and hairdryer.
In the large barn (the uthus) is the wood supply for the wood stove in the house. Of course there are comfortable garden furniture, cushions and a parasol. A barbecue is at your disposal. And on the property are a nice, large fire pit and a smaller one; wood from the immediate vicinity can be used for this.
There is no WIFI in the house.
The natural stone stairs can be difficult to access for someone with reduced mobility.
The rent includes the use of duvets, sheets, (bath) towels, kitchen linen and the rowing boat, which is moored at the jetty.
Pets: in consultation.
The cleaning costs also include washing of linen and towels, and the use of wood for the stove.

    Clean house, well maintained garden, comfortable beds. No Wifi as mentioned, but there is 5G reception. On the edge of Markeryd, located on small road. However there can be some traffic noise from route 15, when sitting outside. Rowboat and at a small dock on a little river connecting lakes. Great fishing.

    Wonderful little house isolated from the modern world. We felt like the owners were kind enough to lend us their house, as it is marvelously equipped. To me, this cottage combines the best of Swedish style and Dutch gezelligheid. I would call it perfect if it was not for the road which is a tad too close. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay and are already planning to return in winter to see how this beautiful region changes its trees' colors. Many thanks to Edith and her swift and efficient communication, and congratulations on this little jewel of a home.
