85 Back Road East is a Grade II listed fishermen’s cottage in the popular area of Downalong. Only a few steps away from the Harbour and a few minutes' walk to Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches, the Tate and the Town Centre. An ideal location for couples and families to enjoy St Ives. At the front of the cottage is a small courtyard to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

85 Back Road East has a cosy lounge with a gas fire, furnished with a sofa, relaxing chairs and a Smart TV/DVD, together with a large selection of games, films and books. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and washing machine. There are outside chairs and a selection of beach equipment in the hallway cupboard.

At the front of the cottage there is a large double bedroom with a king-size bed and views over the rooftops. There is a smaller bedroom to the rear with 2 ft 6 inch bunk bed. There is a great family bathroom compromising of bath with shower over, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

    The property was a real home away from home, clean, well equipped and spacious. There are three beaches within a few minutes walk. The only downside is slow internet connection with no wi-fi internet access in the main bedroom. Connection is good downstairs and in the small bedroom right above wi-fi router. Apart from that, everything was amazing.

    This well appointed, well equipped cottage was perfect for exploring St Ives. It is within 5 minutes walk of 3 beautiful beaches and the harbour. Our American companion was fascinated by the fact that the front door of the property opens onto one street and the back door onto another!

    We have stayed a few times in St Ives and know the best location for us which is why we chose this property. It’s away from the hustle and bustle but a stones throw from the beach which we love. Property was clean and we loved the complimentary Cornish tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival! Thanks, the Simpson family

    Nic cottage, one street back from the harbour so perfectly positioned for everywhere in St Ives town. Very clean and comfortable, well equipped and a very well managed property. Nice touches with a bag of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. Recommended.
