Why not take a boat ride from the village of Seahouses (1.5 miles) to the Farne Islands, a renowned sea bird sanctuary where you may catch close-ups of puffins and inquisitive seals Alternatively, visit the spectacular castles at Bamburgh (5 miles) and Alnwick (14 miles), the latter famous as a location for the Harry Potter films.
