A tranquil beautiful hideaway with luxurious decoration, with plenty of space for our family to relax. The big bath and separate walk in shower were a welcome retreat after a days hiking and biking. The kitchen has a big fridge and freezer and is stocked with plenty of utensils, pans, baking trays etc for us to cook. The conservatory was a charming place to sit (we took a small electric heater,it was the end of october). No problems with the BT wifi. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage is really beautiful and in a rural location and only short drive to local pubs and shops a short walk to local beaches . There is a multitude of wild life and farm animals around the cottage and they regularly visit the garden these include The badger , rabbits and birds with next door field having new born calves . The road is generally quiet though the local traffic do seem travel fast on it , it didn’t bother us. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with plenty of towels and really comfy beds . No issues with Warmth and we only used the wood burner once but was a great addition. The bathroom Whilst big has a shower and bath the shower takes some figuring out as it’s on a mixer tap and getting the right temp was a challenge plenty of lights and mirrors there was An En-suite that was brilliant . Kitchen lots of plates cups etc Overall we loved Horsepark cottage if you want peace quiet and a rural location it’s the 1. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Beautiful location short stroll from sea. Cottage comfortable and well equipped. Good walking area coast hills and woods. Because of covid couldn't do castles. The badger coming into the garden to feed on peanuts was an added bonus. Would definitely like to return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Beautifully restored cottage, clean, comfortable and well equipped. A very isolated cottage but with the added bonus of varied wildlife visiting the garden! Conservatory overlooking lush green fields and a small bay within walking distance down the lane. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful answering our queries, and would recommend this property highly to those wanting a secluded get away break. Stylish, warm and spacious cottage in a lovely rural setting. A short drive away from Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright - both small towns of character; a short walk to the shore of the Solway Firth;wonderful countryside including Cairnsmore of Fleet nature reserve and the Dark Sky Park of Galloway. Just the thing for a completely relaxing break in a lovely part of the world

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, cottage is huge and comfortable with everything you need. Very peaceful surroundings, 10 minutes drive to shops. Only reason to give less than a perfect 10 is that the heating didn’t come on at all, so towels weren’t able to dry properly and this would have made stay more comfortable. A Log fire is available though andwe used this first thing in morning and at night but conservatory was lovely and warm to sit in on the evening to watch the wildlife

Had a lovely stay. The cottage was clean and well presented, with everything we needed for our stay. We didn’t use the garden really as it is surrounded by an electric fence and the traffic on the road is very fast, so not ideal for 3 children 6 but this wouldn’t be a problem for older children and the location is beautiful. Enjoyed the short walk to the beach, which again was beautiful as is all the coast in the surrounding area. Lots of things to do near by for family a and history lovers. Great stay, would definitely recommend it.

Horsepark Cottage is stylish, spacious and warm. It is very well-equipped and we love the wonderful comfortable bed, the reliable wi-fi and the conservatory. For a family there would be plenty of space using the upstairs bedrooms - big and characterful. Sitting in the conservatory, you can see the varied garden birds on the feeders including Greater Spotted Woodpeckers. In the fields when we were there in spring, were new calves and lambs. Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright are close by and the sea is just down the road. It is a great base to explore Dumfries and Galloway with its Forest Park, Dark Sky Park, red kites, Wigtown the book town and just a wonderful place for a great relaxing holiday.
