The home was as clean, had everything you would need, fresh clean linens and comfy beds. Great communication from the host and the location was perfect for our activities as well.

Great location - restaurants, family fare grocery store, Walmart, bait shop & lake all blocks away. I would definitely use this house for snowmobiling, fishing, hike, bike, color tours & any general reasons! Worked like clock work!

Doug was an amazing host. Comfortable cottage as a home away from home. All basic needs available. Really felt at home and slept well. Very close to all the area has to offer.

We checked in on Sept 25th and the cabin was listed with air conditioning. There was none, because they had removed it for the winter. But the host Doug was wonderful about coming right out and put it back in for us. The washing machine had something wrong with it and took all day to run one load. We let Doug know about it. Overall, it was just what we needed for the 3 days. It was very clean and much better than a local hotel. Doug was very accommodating.

We basically just stayed the night there. We were razor riding for the weekend and our friends have a place on the lake so we hung out there for the evenings.

I was happy with the house, and used the barbecue also we had a good time with the fire pit. I think the main bedroom mattress should be replaced too soft and worn but overall it was a very clean and cozy house!

This was a really nice unit. Not on the water, but within a few minutes drive time to Houghton Lake, and 20 minutes to Higgins Lake. Lots of beautiful trails, boat launches, and public parks. Located on a quiet street, close to stores and restaurants. Would stay here again. The host was more than accommodating, and made sure every need was met. The house is well equipped, even down to a crate for your dog. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus!

Clean and well furnished. Perfect place for my family and I to spend a weekend in Houghton Lake.

This is our second year staying here and we're very satisfied with the accommodations. Three of the guys in camp come from Arizona, Mississippi and Texas and we are already planning on next years deer camp. We are more than likely staying here again.

Very comfortable rental home. Plenty of room. Master bed is very comfortable. Convenient for lake activities. Not so convenient to get to the UTV trails, but we made it work.

This was such a cute property and perfect for myself and my adult daughter and her boyfriend to stay the weekend. We would definitely stay here again!

It was nice and cozy, just the bedroom was out dated and pet smell, was nice and peaceful.

When we first pulled into the driveway, my overall impression was this looks very homey. A nice picnic table out front, fire pit in the back, just a relaxing feel. The property itself did not have air conditioning which I didn't know at the time of booking. It was probably listed, I just didn't see it. However, he does have a portable AC unit that was more than sufficient and plenty of fans and fans on stands. The home itself is very clean. Very nice. It did have a slight slant to it. The only thing I would have preferred (this is just a functionality thing), is having the refrigerator door open from the opposite side. Other than that, very very minor complaint, this was an excellent property. Great value for the money and I would stay here again.

Went for a long weekend with the family, had a great time. The house was well kept

Close to lots of resources (groceries, gas, bait store, etc.). The house was very clean and had no weird smells. It's very close to the lake, only about a block. Nothing fancy, but it was a great home base for our family outing. One thing I could suggest is a user guide that tells about lake access and local spots. Wi-Fi was good, and we loved that our dog could come with us.

Nice little place to stay for a fishing trip

Property was great for us, as we were in town for a High School bass fishing tournament, that launch 3 minutes down the road at the dnr ramp on Townline.
