Stayed Dec 31, 1969I have never written a review for anything in my life but felt compelled to do so for this property. The stay at this location was by far the worst experience my partner and I have ever had. The place was filthy upon arrival. Dog hair everywhere, numerous spiders and spiderwebs in every room, hair and mold in the showers, debris on the floors, and food on the plates and silverware. It also smelled awful, so we bought some candles. Aside from the lack of cleaning, it’s clear the property has had little to no maintenance over the past years and simply looks grimy and battered. Although the property owner was very responsive (and to her credit, refunded the cleaning fee), she actually laughed at me when I told it was dirty, and then acknowledged it was inappropriate for her to laugh. It’s noteworthy that the photos do not accurately represent the condition of the house, nor the furniture used in the rooms and kitchen. The twin beds were the worst beds and pillows we have ever slept in. They were so bad that my partner (who is young and healthy) developed cervicalgia and had to be taken to Sea Pines Immediate Care for a steroid shot, a week worth of steroid pills, and 2 PT sessions at Benchmark PT (who were wonderful by the way). Overall, do not stay here. It’s not worth it, you have a lot of options in the area.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025This was a wonderful place - the house was lovely - there is so much space both inside and outside to relax and enjoy beautiful Sea Pines in Hilton Head! The living area is open and welcoming with plenty of seating, and the pictures don't do the deck justice - there's basically a large wraparound deck (so it's like having two decks - one on each side of the house), plus a fenced in yard that provided privacy and a lot of extra space to enjoy. The owner was both communicative and incredibly nice, the place itself was immaculate, and the owner added special touches like cute bags of toiletries, washer detergent, and even a welcome note with a little holiday candy gift. We brought our dogs and it was great for them too - near walking trails plus the fenced in yard was very handy. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Mar 13, 2025This is our third stay at Evergreen and it is always such an enjoyable stay! It’s the perfect location to all of Hilton Head’s amenities and the property is always immaculate and well taken care of! The owner is kind, responsive and a joy to communicate with! We will be back soon!

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Just what we needed for a long weekend getaway. Very nice property and conveniently located to dining just outside of Sea Pines. Also…great communication from owner and especially thankful in finding and mailing an item we had left behind.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024It was a good experience. Check in was a little unorthodox but everything worked out. It is a great house. A little older with the actual feel of a well loved southern beach home. It had a lot of character and it told a real story of the people that own and love the house. If walls could talk I bet it would have some wonderful stories to tell. Really happy it was the house we chose.

Stayed Apr 19, 2024House was great for the Heritage. Trolly stop was a short walk from the house and the first drop off to get back. Easy to get to the grocery store and restaurants just outside Sea Pines.

Stayed Dec 30, 2023The property was advertised as having a queen bed, however it was a 54 double. The property truly requires an updating and has the following deficiencies: 1. Bedroom ceiling fan is new, however it was incorrectly installed and click relentlessly. 2. Master bedroom toilet requires replacing, rather than a sticker that says hold handle down to flush. It leaks and constantly refills. 3. The dishwasher is a very old Bosch 300. It runs, however it won't clean even the lightest of soiling. 4. The lighting throughout the home is awful, particularly in the kitchen. 5. All bathroom faucets are old, many leak, and the shower hardware life is almost done. 6. The master bedroom shower is full of mould. The enclosure door has seen better days and there are also cracked tiles. 7. The television in the great room is old and tiny (42) by today's standards, and isn't sized according to the room. This is disappointing when considering the low cost of larger screens. 8. The outside is overgrown and could use a power washing. 9. The barbecue is only a basic Weber charcoal unit, therefore it takes hours to cook your favourite burger. 10. The kitchen only has the most basic furnishings and is frustrating when attempting to prepare meals. 11. The property management - Evolve - is non-responsive and uncaring in every way. Owner is responsive, property is conveniently located, and overall home design is attractive. But that's it folks.
