Stayed Dec 31, 1969Excellent location with a great view of the harbour and beyond. Very spacious apartment with all the facilities you need. Only downside is the windows are draughty so we had the heating on when it was cold. The road in front of the apartment is one way out of town, so it can be a bit noisy but this should be expected for the central location. Would definitely come back. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Seaview cottage was an ideal location for a visit to Oban. Mario was welcoming, polite an very helpful. The only down side to our visit to Oban was the parking restrictions. All parking was restricted to two an a half hours with no overnight parking allowed. This was the number one subject in any discussion with locals or visitors. For this reason alone I would not advise anyone to do more than visit Oban for a snack as you go on to an area that encourages visitors to stay for longer than two and a half hours. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Really pleased with this apartment. The entrance is up the stairs behind a chocolate shop/cafe but once you walk in the view is fantastic. Inside was clean, with comfortable furniture and a kitchen that is well equipped enough for cooking. We didn't actually cook much though as there are excellent take aways and restaurants nearby. Also had good WiFi, TV, washing machine with space to put an airer up in the corner of the kitchen, powerful shower (all the boring essentials especially with children/teens). There is a pub next door downstairs but apart from Saturday night at closing time when there was a little bit of noise, we didn't notice it - and if you want a seaview like this and easy access to the amenities of a place like Oban you're going to be near people, and life. We loved it. Owner arrived within minutes of use calling to say we'd arrived and gave helpful advice on parking, and booking in advance for restaurants/boat trips as it was still quite busy in the last week of August.
