Delightful footpaths lead from the door, the most famous of which is known locally as Gas Hill and Spout Hill, which runs into a huge stream.

The Georgian market town of Holt and the nearby coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley are both 5 miles, offering a rich blend of history, nature, and charm. Holt is known for its elegant streets lined with flintstone buildings, home to independent boutiques, galleries, antique shops, and the famous Bakers and Larners food hall.

Just a short drive away, the coastal village of Blakeney offers unforgettable experiences, including seal-spotting boat trips from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point, where England’s largest grey seal colony resides. The village itself is a delight to explore, with its picturesque quay, flint cottages, and the historic St Nicholas Church overlooking the marshes.

Further along the coast lies Cley-next-the-Sea, home to the renowned Cley Marshes nature reserve, a haven for birdwatchers and walkers. The village is crowned by its iconic windmill and dotted with art studios, a smokehouse deli, and the beautiful St Margaret’s Church.

Boat trips are available to visit the basking seal colony and Blakeney Point Reserve. Golf available locally at Sheringham golf course, Royal Cromer golf course, and Royal West Norfolk golf course at Brancaster. Restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs less than ¼ mile walk.

Having stayed here before, we knew that the accommodation was exceptional and it was every bit as good as we remembered. Great facilities, very reliable communication and, once again, a really nice stay.

The cottage is clearly well maintained. It is well appointed, well equipped, and in an ideal location within walking distance of Holt, an idyllic town for shopping, browsing, and eating. Before we left for home we booked another stay next year.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cobble Stones. We were steps from town and nestled at the edge of countryside walks. The amenities were modern and the appointments were charming. We would happily return!

The property description is accurate. There is everything you need. The only gripe we would have is that the bed is a little too soft as we like a very firm mattress, a personal thing really as some would say its perfect but there you go. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we go back to Holt. Great location, easy parking. Great communication from the owners.

Lovely cosy cottage, comfortable bed, great location, Holt Town Centre on the doorstep. Great base for touring North Norfolk. A great holiday to offset the world of covid 19. Nice owner kept in contact with welcoming texts. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A fabulous little cottage. We had a lovely comfortable stay and the location is absolutely top notch. Holt high street is a walk around the corner, a beautiful town with little courtyards, great shops and coffee shops galore. It’s also a great base to get out and about in Norfolk with the coast a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a lovely holiday in Cobble Stone cottage and would definitely return. The location is great - a couple of minutes walk from the high street and a great base for visiting Sheringham, Cromer, Wells etc. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The shower is good but it is hard to adjust the temperature via the bathroom controls. The water was extremely hot at first (probably worse because we were there during the heatwave!) but once we adjusted the controls on the boiler, the temperature was fine. The cottage is the perfect size for a small family but may feel cramped with two couples. The owner, John, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming.
