It is also within easy reach of shops and eateries and comes with parking, a delightful courtyard garden where you can unwind on warm days, and a games room and wood burner for relaxing nights in together.


Step inside the charmingretreat to discover beautifully finished accommodation with a friendly and cosy ambience. Make your way into the lounge to recline on the comfortable seating in front of a crackling wood burner and a good film on the Smart TV. Make your way into the country-style kitchen/diner to prepare roast dinners with Yorkshire puddings in the electric Aga and then gather around the fold-out table together. From here, take two steps up to find a utility space. The games room, where you can play snooker and watch an alternative TV, is also downstairs. At the end of each day, climb the steep, cottage-style staircase up to the first floor to treat yourselves to a fabulous night’s sleep in either the double bedroom or the twin. There is also a family shower room up here.


Board a steam train along the heritage North York Moors Railway from Pickering and go back in time as you soak up the splendid scenery around you. Venture into the national park on foot to follow picturesque walking routes and see historic sites, including the Roman camps at Cawthorn, 5 miles away. Plan a day out to the coast at Whitby, 20 miles away, where you can visit the historic Whitby Abbey and beautiful coastline or Scarborough, 18 miles away, where you can swim in the sea, visit the remains of the medieval castle, and take the children to family attractions, such as the water park.

- Radio is kitchen and master bedroom

- Dog bowls provided, but please bring own dog towels and beds, use blankets provided to cover sofas and avoid dogs on the beds

- Courtyard with outdoor seating (secure for dogs)

- Private parking for up to 2 cars, plus on-street parking to the rear of the property. Please be advised that the parking area outside the gates is private and guest parking is only through the gates on the gravel area, turning may not always be possible so you may need to reverse in or out of the yard

- Bike storage for 4 bikes

- Games room with snooker table

- Shop and pub less on with a short walk

- Please note: steep cottage staircase

- Please note that although there is not a washing machine - the cleaners may be able to arrange a service wash.
