Stayed Aug 9, 2025This is the perfect condo for us. It is on the 10th floor of The Whaler. Tower two. Near the elevators, and washers and dryers. Great view of black rock which was the main reason we booked this one. You can't beat the location. Perfect spot on Kaanapali Beach! Walking distance to everything you need! Will definitely book again! The owner Jim was great. He answered all the questions. Condo had tons of extras like chairs, umbrellas, boards, and snorkel gear with fins that saved us from renting.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025Property is a studio well appointed with cooking supplies, lots of spices and such . There was shampoo soap and even some sunscreen. Deck had beach chairs. The Check in was at 3pm no sooner - I was surprised that they required a 35 a day amenity fee that I had to pay before we could get keys. Not sure what amenities were? The listing describes amenities such as pool spa and parking included but no mention that we would have to pay additional over and above what was paid to host in VRBO. The carpets are dated and very stained didn’t appear very clean . The safe did not work and I re-read some past reviews stating same , so it never got fixed. The bed is a Murphy bed but was comfortable and unit was quiet even though it is the first studio right next to elevators. View was nit panoramic but nice when you sat on the deck on one side was ocean other was golf course and hills. Complex location was excellent easy walk to beach and wailers village.

Stayed May 22, 2025This place is in the perfect spot—right next to Whalers Village in Kaanapali. You can walk along the beach path not only to Whalers Village but also to Black Rock. It couldn’t be more convenient.We were greeted by a friendly front desk team, which made a great first impression. The condo is on the 11th floor of a well-kept, upscale building. From up there, you get gorgeous ocean views to the south and peaceful green fairways to the north—really easy on the eyes.Jim, the owner, was fantastic. He responded quickly, was super polite, and made everything smooth and stress-free. He’s a true pro and pays attention to the details.As soon as we walked into the unit, we could feel how well thought out everything was. The colors, the furniture, the overall atmosphere—it felt like home right away, and our travel fatigue just disappeared.After our first night, we noticed even more thoughtful touches. There are too many to list, but here are a few standouts:Top-quality mattress and beddingSpotless and well-maintained appliances with clear instructionsHigh-grade kitchenware and dining itemsFully stocked bathroom with great towels and toiletriesSmooth Wi-Fi and charging options for smartphones, iPads, and laptopsWe’ve stayed at nearly 20 VRBOs over the years, and this is hands-down the best. It truly feels like our home away from home in Kaanapali.

Stayed Apr 20, 2025Property was very clean and super well appointed. All you need is groceries. Lovely bedding, towels, free laundry facilities, and excellent communication with cleaning staff. Slight problem at the beginning of our stay that was quickly and graciously resolved. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed May 6, 2025I was surprised at how quiet it was here despite how many people are coming and going. We found it easy to go to bed at 8pm since we were on eastern US time. Location was superb for snorkeling of the beach- sea turtles galore- walking to eateries and driving to new places. We had no trouble getting around the island to see all the sights. Locations like beaches and trails are really not advertised and don’t have signs, so know where you want to go ahead of time. I enjoyed the 10th floor, being able to view the ocean and hills well. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen very functional. Thank you.

Stayed Jul 15, 2024We enjoyed our stay here. The Whaler and its staff are awesome. It is a beautiful and well maintained property. The ppl from the front desk to the workers as well as the other guests are friendly and laid back. The condo was spotless and had everything we needed for quick brunches to full blown dinners. Dinner from the balcony, taking in that sunset, never grows old. It is an easy walk to Black Rock and the Sheraton where we have always enjoyed snorkeling and always found turtles somewhere around. The Whaler Village has so much going on that if you need a shopping or restaurant fix, it is right next door. Looking forward to returning. It is so easy to find and get into the aloha spirit here.
