Stayed Jan 20, 2026We had a great week at Moose Tree Lodge. Very relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is spacious and comfortable. The access to the mountain is super easy, our older kids could go without us having to take them anywhere. The town of Whitefish has lots of places to eat and is only 10-15 minutes away. The views of the mountain are lovely from the large windows inside the house. The only thing I would change are better higher quality linens on the beds and a cheese grater in the kitchen.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Our family had the pleasure of staying at Moose Tree Lodge in Whitefish. Our family included six adults, and six kids ranging in age from one to sixteen years. Hosting a family this large was a challenge, but the accommodation and services we received exceeded all our expectations. The layout was perfect for our big group, with ample common areas for everyone to gather, play games, and share meals. The bedrooms were comfortable and perfectly located to allow for privacy. Most rooms had breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and plenty of utensils. We enjoyed cooking together and had family breakfast at the large dining table. The kids loved having their own spacious area to play in, and the outdoor patio was perfect for barbecuing. The service was exceptional. The lodge host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. From our initial inquiry to the moment we checked out, the host almost instantaneously responded to every question and request. The host provided us with recommendations for local attractions and even helped arrange for 4th of July picnic items to be ordered and dropped off at the lodge. The location of the lodge was ideal for exploring Whitefish. We were a short drive from hiking trails, Whitefish Lake, and the charming downtown area. Our family left with lifelong memories and appreciation for togetherness. Highly recommended for families and friends looking to reconnect in a stunning setting!

Stayed Jun 20, 2025We so enjoyed our stay. A young deer camped out under the tree & reading nook view is awesome. Vacay was so responsive & helpful. Place is clean & functional, everything stocked & working. Comfortable bedding & couches. Hated to leave!

Stayed Mar 14, 2025We would really rank 3.5 but decimals are not an option. The location was great, the room layout was great, the house was clean and equipped with most everything we needed. The fireplace was great and the big dining table was perfect. The biggest issue was the internet. WiFi was spotty at best. It was annoying for us trying to work in the morning before skiing. But it was especially an issue because the TVs run off WiFi- so the TV in the living room hardly worked and kept restarting. We couldn't get the TVs in the bedrooms to work at all. We also had no control of the thermostat (it's locked) so we got very hot a couple of nights. Finally- the garage could have been great for storage of skis and gear but it is not well outfitted for it (so your option is basically to lay things on the dusty floor). There was a coat rack hanging on the wall but as soon as we hung our ski jackets on it, it fell out of the wall (so we saw it was screwed into the drywall and not hung with enough stability to actually hold anything). The customer service was great though— the team was very responsive about issues- but that did no good for fixing these things during our stay. Hopefully they get some other WiFi provider and hang better stuff in the garage for future groups.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at the Moose Tree Lodge this summer and were thrilled with our choice. The lodge is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully appointed, including a well stocked coffee bar! We had four couples in our group, and everyone was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom. Although the weather was relatively mild, we appreciated the air conditioning in the evenings. The Lodge is an easy drive to the restaurants in town, golf and tennis courts, and boating on Whitefish Lake. We also spent a full day in Glacier National Park, another easily accessible activity in the area. I believe the Lodge is ski-in, ski-out, so we may be back for a winter visit soon. I would highly recommend this spot for a Whitefish or National Park visit for both couples and families alike!
