Wilderness Club™ at Big Cedar® - 1 Bedroom Lodge

Property could use some updating- dated stall shower and jacuzzi tub. Not as close to Big Cedar amenities such as the lake and restaurants as hoped. Needed to drive more than anticipated. Ground floor with limited view made the condo seem dark inside. Based on the price, our expectations were higher.

The scenic views, wildlife, and many amenities made this property stellar.

Overall the Wilderness Club is great, however the timeshare rental management company that actually manages the booking (Resort Rental Pros) is awful. They called the day we were checking in to inform us our room was no longer available (1 bedroom condo) and instead offered a 40% discount on a studio. We agreed since we had no other option and after 3 phone calls upon returning home, have been unable to receive a refund. While checking in, the Wilderness Club front desk mentioned this happens frequently with Resort Rental Pros and that just the day before they had to turn a couple away completely due to this situation and no rooms left to offer them. All of that to say, if your plans are flexible and you're willing to risk not being able to stay at this property, the actual resort is great and it's nice to have access to the same amenities as the much pricier Big Cedar Lodge rooms.

Lovely stay at Wilderness Club, Big Cedar. Not our first time here and we will definitely be back. We had noisy neighbors above us (children doing gymnastics I think!) but quieted down by 10pm. We stayed in the James River lodge. Overall a great getaway!

This is our third visit here and we enjoyed it like usual. I would say the lodge we were in looked a bit older than in the past and the bus system was not as punctual. But overall a very good place to stay. Kids love the pools!

We stayed 4 nights in Mill Creek Lodge. It was a nice condo. We enjoyed all of the amenities the property had to offer. My husband fished table Rock and I enjoyed the spa and shopping at the boutique. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at the property. The location is fantastic, the view is beautiful, and there were plenty of activities for all ages. The host was prompt with communication and very helpful. Thanks!

Check in is easy, location and amenities on site are great, condo was stocked with all the essentials we needed, staff is friendly.

This condo is perfect! It has everything you could want or need for your stay; it's clean and cozy. And we love the wooded footpath to the Big Cedar Shoppe and restaurants.

Property was clean. Had a minor leak with the air handler but staff resolved it quickly.

Other than bottom floor with no view everything was perfect.

Everything was clean, our rooms were ready when we got there at 4:00, and we had no problems with AC, water, kitchen appliances; everything was very good!

We come every year to this property and love it, so much to do. Can’t wait till next year!

Even though there was an attepmt at a timeshare pitch (I do NOT set through or appreciate the pushiness of them), check in was ok. The rest of the stay was great. Beautiful property, good food & nice accomodations.
