Easy check in, clean and quiet. Short walk to the beach. Little gloomy due to rain.

I have stayed at the Whaler about 3 other times . Good location , easy to find , condo big enough for my family . Short walk to the beach and if you needed to , the pool was right there close .

The location and view was wonderful. The pull out couch was unsleepable so the meant two people had to sleep on the floor. This unit definitely needs some upgrades and a new sofa. Tried using the washing machine and it’s extremely loud. The hallway toilet we had to fix twice. A piece of the fridge shelf on the door broke. All in all we had a great trip but the place needs some upgrades.

The unit itself was very nice. The master bedroom and bathroom were spacious and updated. The extra bedroom was a good size for a few kids to share, and the living area/kitchen was big enough to be comfortable. We cooked spaghetti once and made breakfast every day, and the kitchen was well stocked enough for us to have all we needed for those simple meals. We really enjoyed the unit. It was a good choice for our family of six… not too big but not too small. Lots of together time. That being said… Here are some reasons we give this property three stars. It’s all about the condo in general. It is very old and in need of some aesthetic and practical updates and repairs. Construction and remodeling is underway, so that’s a good thing, but we were not expecting it. That led to very loud construction noises at any point during the day. It was especially disturbing when we were wanting to enjoy our morning coffee on the balcony. (Granted, it was about 9am when they started, we just were not expecting this.)Another (and by far the biggest) inconvenience is that the elevator was broken off and on the whole time we were there. All in all, it may have been working half the time. It was broken when we got there, so we brought all our luggage up six flights of stairs. Then all the groceries for six people had to come all the way up the stairs. Then the beach gear had to go all the way down the stairs. And back up…. And then when it finally was working again it looked really sketchy.

I was afraid to touch anything. The shelf w mirror on the wall inside the door w hooks on it almost fell off the wall when I hung a t-shirt on it. The tv mount exstends out in a way that it looks like it's gona fall off the wall. The guest shower curtain is rusted and looks like its gona fall due to it's not even flush with the wall. The master bed is hard as a rock. Paid a cleaning fee but there were spider webs literally in the windows and ceiling. There is not a comfortable seat anywhere in the place. The couch is dirty with stains. The dining table was something I'd have outside w metal chairs. Walk outside on the balcony and look to your right and there was a man literally looking at me face to face. No privacy at all. The curtains in the living room are broken so you can't close the blinds for privacy or to block the glare while trying to watch a football game. I have pictures of everything I have mentioned in this post. I did report these same things to the Poole company on their review paper that was left at the condo. The review page from the previous guest mentioned all of these same things i have mentioned on their sheet that was left there. The Poole company people were great. I did not have to go by office for the key due to door has a key code. I also did not like that i paid $170 more for this condo when I had a condo at Lani Kaii that was nicer and included 2 parking spaces. I will never stay at this facility again. It got us through the Shrimp Fest !

Nice condo everything worked like it should. Only that would of made it better is if the blinds worked in livingroom. The owners were aware of the problem and had new blinds order but hadnt came in to be replace. Enjoyed our 1st time staying there . Kings size bed was firmer than we liked but other wise a nice place to stay

We’ve stayed busy since we arrived. The condo was ok. It could use some updating. And a couple of things need fixing. But we enjoyed it

When we arrived the handle on the sliding glass door was hanging by a screw. One of the cabinet doors fell off the hinges twice during our stay. The couch and living room chairs were filthy. We had to cover the couch with a blanket to sit on it. The pool was greeen.

Location was perfect, had all the amenities to make your stay feel like home. The ONLY negative we have is the elevator broke a couple of days during our stay and did not get repaired so we had to use the stairs and we were on the 6th floor.
