    The Whaler is very conveniently located, right on the long beach, near restaurants and shops. Don't have to use your car unless needing additional groceries. Our unit had a supreme view of Black Rock. The grounds are very well kept and staff was excellent. The unit had very good furnishings on the lanai but interior needs an upgrade. Kitchen utensils and supplies were sparse, at best. Bathroom is outdated. Instructions for control of the TV's were totally wrong, very frustrating. Need accurate instructions. Overall, we will definitely come back to The Whaler but not to this unit unless it gets an update/upgrade.

    We had a wonderful stay for 5 days until the lights went out in the early morning of August 8, 2023, then the horror of the fire in Lahaina :( Many displaced people along the beach trying to figure out what was next for them, people vacationing at The Whaler barbecuing their food that was sure to spoil and sharing stories about what they knew about the tragedy. The staff at The Whaler were very accommodating and kept us up to date on anything we needed to know! We loved staying there and will definitely return when things settle down for all the locals.

    Poor Wi-Fi instructions… and it needed to be reconfigured. Cockroaches in the kitchen on the first day. I am not able to turn ceiling fans on. Otherwise, a wonderful property!

    Love the location and the unit. But disappointed with our Host. For a premium rental, it’s the first time we have to buy our own shampoo, soap, Kleenex. No coffee or tea provided. Too many fees added onto the initial rental cost.

    This condo was amazing! Upon arriving at the front desk to check in to the moment we checked out, it far exceeded our expectations. The condo was perfect! It was immaculate, spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped, newer washer and dryer and a very spacious bedroom with lovely adjoining bath. The balcony was perfect for breakfast and amazing for sunset views, ocean & pool views. The grounds were immaculate and a pleasure to look onto. A lovely fountain and coi pond were lovely to look at. We cannot wait to return!

    The location and floor level was excellent. The kitchen is a little worn. Would be safer to have an automatic shut off coffeemaker, liquid soap for washing hands and another for the shower would be nuce.
