Stayed Jan 22, 2025First of all we were turned over to a rental agency called Sun Palace. I picked a condo 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. It was on the 6 floor and there was no elevator. Iam 66 and we had 4 suit cases. No way was I going up6 flights of stairs. So they gave us a duplex 2 bedroom 1 bath. But they was 3 of us and one bath was not enough .no tv in the bedrooms.and the sewer was backing up. They had to call a plumber.. the main thing was I do not feel the duplex was the same amount of money as the first condo. I think we should’ve got a break on the price or they should’ve gave us some kind of compensation and they did not. They said, I could go back to the other condo and climb six flights of stairs. .

Stayed Dec 31, 2024Great location (we prefer South Island for both traffic and quiet). Not immediately across from beach access but that was clear on listing and not an issue. Condo was clean but tile probably only vacuumed, not really clean (on bare feet). Great view. Tv service overly limited. Decent comfort beds. Nice to have Keurig and some basic stocked kitchen and bath essentials. Would be a repeat stay if it weren’t for the building itself (primarily elevator). I didn’t know about the elevator until the day before ; call from the rental group.The building management note is because their elevator doesn’t work but they’re spending money painting floors that aren’t very worn. Luckily we’re able bodied because 6 flights up and down the whole trip was a workout, and I consider myself an athlete. Was hard to watch 60-80 year old residents and guests going up the stairs, even when they had family helping. Just can’t imagine it not being obvious that’s an emergency management need. We had (2) different days we were told to be out from 9A-3P for painting of exterior hallways (which didn’t appear to need painting (I’m a builder)). None of this was the vacation rental company’s fault - other than perhaps re-considering offering any rentals in that building until they get their stuff together. I know the island has been through a lot, and I’m part of the rebuilding effort myself. The elevators should be working and should be managed in a way where they’re consistently operational.
