Stayed May 23, 2025During my stay I attempted to access the pool at 0800 on Sunday. The gate was locked but the clubhouse was open. I entered the pool area throughly the clubhouse. Upon arriving I attempted to turn the spa on and this did not work. I then went back to the clubhouse only to find the sorta are all LOCKED! Well with no one available to assist me I was locking in the pool area. I called the reservation number and finally got someone to answer. After going back and forth with security and texting and calling no one was coming. So after 1 hour of being locked into the pool area with no help I had to climb over the wall to get out. Well after returning around 1000 the pool area was still locked and the clubhouse was open but the doors out were still locked. This was and is unacceptable and I am requesting a refund for this issue as the pool area was not open until 1100 and I had to climb over a wall risking injury as I had to be somewhere and could not wait. The customer service rep on the phone texted me that this has happened before and can provide the text if needed.

Stayed Apr 5, 2025Overpriced but this was primarily due to VRBO fees. The best part of this property is the balcony view of the canal out back and yes there are actual dolphins in the water. The most frustrating part is all the information you get AFTER you pay and can’t get a refund, like all the facility rules, 20 bucks for every hour early you want to check in, the 350 dollar fee if something goes wrong with the plumbing, quiet hours and don’t set the thermostat below 70 degree… or else. The no earlier than 4pm check-in and no later than 10am check-out means you will pay for at least one day you never use essentially. However, the location and amenities made it good fit for us (visiting relatives coming off a cruise) if you are willing to spend the money. The Dolphin Bar and Grill also has a great location and nice atmosphere. Just don’t order any food or get a drink… both the beer and coke were flat and the chips were stale. We considered a half day pontoon rental to see the canal but the employee running the show there was so stressed dealing with the customers he had we couldn’t possibly add to his burden. Overall if this were a hotel room at the listed price it would be spectacular! 3 bed 2 bath was great… with a kitchen! Unfortunately the added booking and user fees along with the post commitment information gave the place a visitor’s vibe akin to the TV commercial featuring Nick Saban briefing his house guests to avoid having any fun… unless you want to pay the extra fees…

Stayed May 31, 2024The property looks exactly like it is listed in the photos. Our rooms overlooked the waterfront and we watched the sunset and sailboats coming in and out. It was relaxing! We were only there for a night but would definitely stay again. Directions and communication were excellent too!
