Beach front! Clean and safe. Lots of amenities.
Was a great time.
Our stay was very nice! Biggest positive: Beach front! Lovely view. Biggest take- aways: no linens for sofa bed and some pillows were with out pillow cases, no extra toilet paper, and no extra trash bag. Parking was not a problem. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!
In the first 15 minutes of moving in we noticed sand and hair in sheets the DVD player was removed and tv in bedroom was broken, immediately contacted Vacasa they promised to fix these problems. They did send clean sheets but four days of being told someone would come fix tv and no one showing up we gave up. We did find out the owner was aware of these items being broken from previous guests and chose not to replace. The furniture looked like it was purchased from yard sales and the bathroom had no shelves for women’s makeup and hair supplies. Even though we planned on using the DVD player and bedroom tv each night the main reason for coming was the beach and here we were not disappointed the beach was beautiful water was great and the grounds around the plantation was very nice.
Room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful beach’s and pools. Lots of amenities. Far enough away to be scenic and quiet. Close enough to hit any activities.
Very clean, great view, great beach access and beach. Room had everything we needed, I loved that they even had beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board, nets, a hair dryer ect.! Pools were great, the sassy bass that was attached to the resort was great food and drinks! We loved everything about our stay!
Nice view
The grounds were beautiful and the beach was amazing! However, the unit itself left much to be desired. There was mold on the baseboards under the bunk and the living room furniture was very old and dirty. The shower curtain liner was covered in pinkish mildew. Kitchen in desperate need of updating but was functional, except for the absense of any kitchen towels. Master bed was comfortable, but had no comforter, only a blanket snd sheets that were too small for a Queen bed. I called the help number, but got standard “longer wait times than usual” recording and hung up after trying to hit the right buttons to speak to a representative. Also left an e-mail which has not been answered as of this morning.
When we arrived the toilette did not flush. After spending 12 hours on the road and 3 people staying in the condo - we needed the toilette to flush. Called Austin and at first suggested we use a public Bathroom in one of the other buildings since it was after 7 PM and we probably couldn’t get anybody there until the following morning to look at it. After some discussion I was able to get him to make the situation an urgent call. Within an hour the toilet was fixed! My suggestion is to figure out why the condo has such a severe mold smell. It was so bad that we had to go out and buy fragrant plug-ins to mask the mold smell with something else. The mattresses were also not very good and you could tell that they have been worn down quite a bit as they lean to one side from extended use. The best part of the condo was the location and having a view of the beach/ocean from the balcony. We could’ve stayed in some better rooms for the amount of money this one cost.
Great balcony with an amazing view!
Would have liked a map of property or a book of pointers regarding the area and what to do at check out if anything. Didn’t know if we needed to take the trash out when we checked out (which we did) but we enjoyed the property and would go back. Had beach items like chairs and umbrella which was nice.
Although we enjoyed our stay overall, there are some things you need to know. The place smelled clean BUT, after walking barefoot on the tile when I got in the shower it looked like coal dust washing off the bottom of my feet. The shower liner had pink mold all over it, and the sheets had stains. The sofa needs a cleaning the seat cushions were dirty. The rear sliding door would not lock. The place has some years on it and needs updating. Everything functioned well though. The info claimed the room and property are non-smoking. Not true. You could not escape the cigarette smoke. The balcony was nice except for the weed (yes weed) and cigarette smoke, Even the beach you could not get away from the smoke. There was lots of activity at the pools and common area until 10 PM, even some fireworks (which are supposedly not allowed). The pictures looked like the place was more upscale, but the inside was worn. The sheets were paper thin and the blankets looked like army surplus. Lots of families and kids running around so if that ain't your thing take note, The Sassy Bass restaurant on site was very good. The property management company Vacasa claims to have an on site team. Saw no team of anything or anyone enforcing rules. The beach was nice except for the sea of easy up tents. There is a name for Gulf Shores.
The condo was very clean & comfortable. The email containing our info to check in was not received until about 10:30am asking us to print out the parking form to turn into the guard at the security gate when we arrived. We left Texas at 5:00 am & had no way to print it out. After calling the property manager & explaining the situation, there were some blank forms waiting on us at the gate. This email needs to be sent at least 2-3 days prior to arrival if they want us to print it out. After arriving, we go to our condo & enter the code that was sent to us in another email & the whole keypad was dead. After calling the property manager back we figured out that the battery was dead in the keypad. He had someone come out & change them out. About an hour or so later while we were eating dinner, he texted me to say that everything was ready to go, but when he gave me the new code, it was 10 digits long, & we had to use this every time we opened the door. Personally I think this is ridiculous!! We had to keep it with us all the time. After we finally got in the condo, around 5:30 pm or so, things were pretty good the rest of the week. There were no kitchen towels or hot pads, therefore we had to use some of the extra wash cloths for that, the numbers on the stove knobs are completely worn off so you can’t tell how hot the burners & oven are when you turn them on & there was only one hand towel in the bathroom. Needed at least one more. The fitted sheet on the bed didn’t fit the mattress & we had a problem keeping them on the bed every night. Hopefully these problems will get resolved & I will stay here again.
We had safe, clean & peaceful (one bedroom) accomodations for two, with seaside play and pools for our grandkids (who were staying with their parents in a separate apartment) and beautiful weather.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the view from our 3rd floor balcony. This unit was clean, and ready. Everything went smoothly for check-in, with plenty of communication on how to get there, and how to check-in. Easy access to the beach. Kitchen utensils, etc all included. Needs: The coffee maker situation could have been better. From the pics, we could see a regular coffee maker, so we brought regular coffee, but upon check-in, there was a mini coffee maker, and a kurig. Of course, we didn't have coffee filters for a mini coffee maker, since that wasn't in the pictures of the unit. We made due with paper towels as filters. The front left burner on the stove is iffy. The shower curtain has pink mold. Would absolutely visit again, and bring appropriate coffee equipment, and spices!
Nice location, furniture dated
The unit was exactly as pictured. Kitchen supplies were well stocked. The walk to the beach was easy and short.
Lovely location. Property was as described
