There was no AC; description said climate controlled. There was no hair dryer; which was listed, deeper, in the amenities listing. BUT, we had great breezes most nights, with the windows open. Beautiful view of the mountains, from the deck!
The condo was comfortable, great location for Mt Ellen skiing. The beds were comfortable, clean, no issues.
Great rental.
Location and building was picture perfect. Unit rented had a lot left to desire.
This place was well stocked and very clean. Pool and tennis court was great. Plenty of space for the 4 of us and the view was amazing!
The area is very scenic and well located for a quiet weekend getaway yet close to the town or Waitstaff with several restaurants. The public area is very nice as well with a pool and nearby tennis court. Our particular condo was adequate although small for the cost. The entire unit could use a new coat of paint. Beds in the second room were not comfortable. Communication with manager was excellent. We have stayed at similar properties in VT
Overall the place was clean, and it does have the bare minimum amenities needed for living, but that’s about it. Check-in was east and straightforward, and management responded quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. However, there’s no AC, and only a couple (broken) box fans, so if you plan to visit in the summer, prepare to be hot! Not just during the day, but all night too! In fairness this complex was built long before changes in the earth’s climate made 90+ temps in the Green Mountains for days and weeks on end a regular occurrence. However, there are a number of relatively inexpensive things the owner could do to greatly improve air flow and comfort inside the unit during the summer. Most of the windows were very hard to open, and the bedroom windows are on ground level, so not everyone is going to be comfortable leaving them wide open at night, especially with bears and such around. As I mentioned, the only source of air movement were two box fans, both of which had broken blades causing them to wobble uncontrollably and fall over. Luckily we borrowed some additional fans from family, but some ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be a huge improvement. Aside from the heat the unit was generally fine, but it was very dated and in need of refreshing as mentioned in most of the reviews. I’m sure this would be a great minimalist winter condo since the location is fantastic, but we probably wouldn’t stay again during the summer without some of the above improvements listed above.
Location and layout were great. As others have said the unit is very dated and screamed rental and is in dire need of renovation. Must say that the place was very clean when we arrived!
The check-in process was easy, the property was clean and cozy, located close to Waitsfield and tons of great hiking
Snowside unit 22 was spacious and clean. Like others commented before us, there is limited seating in the living room area of just a futon. There could be an extra single chair/seat in there. The kitchen must be original to the 1970s.
Great 2 bedroom condo that was well equipped and just perfect for our family of 5! Very close to Mt Ellen, we did not walk as too much for our young kids but loved that it was just a couple of minutes by car! Great views from the condo! We will definitely come back!
