Walk to Folly Field Beach: Condo in Hilton Head!

When i booked this it was myself and three young grandchildren. When i got the confirmation, it was for 2 adults. They gave me a contact who would not message back to make sure my reservation was correct. I had only 2 days to cancel and get my money back. Finally messaged back and said it was fine. As soon as we arrived I wasn't able to unlick door. Worked on it for a half hour in the sweltering heat. Had to call my contact, hoping he would answer. Finally told me it was a unit with a messed up lock. Kept giving me different numbers to try. Finally got in and the kids said what is that awful smell. Opened door to balcony and screen fell off. Tried to leave and couldn't lock door. The next morning 2 guys showed up to spray for bugs. I daid the kids are asleep, is it safe. They assured me it was so i allowed them to do it. Was sweeping the floor, no dustpan. Was supposed to run dishwasher, but it didn't work so had to wash dishes by hand. No plug for sink. Finally found one in the bathroom. Two tvs and neither worked. When i went to checkout they told me I had to call my contact. No answer and mailbox was full so i emailed him hoping i wouldn't get charged for another night. I don't like to complain, but this was alot. I paid for those amenities.

The unit was not well kept.The refrigerator was old and rusty on the outside. It leaked water and we couldn’t use it. The stove was old and rusty so we were afraid to use it. The dishwasher was also too old to use. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work, the living room tv remote had no batteries. The shower rod was rusty. The toilet seat was broken and fix with super glue. The bedroom dresser was too big so we couldn’t open the closet.the bed mattress was old and we couldn’t sleep the entire stay. This was the worst place I ever stayed. I could go on but if you need pictures let me know.

Our overall stay was pleasant. The condo is located right by the beach and had private access. There were many things great about this apartment! The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure was great, and the complex was very safe! But the dishwasher was broken, only two burns worked on the stove, the blinds on the sliding glass doors leading to the balcony were all broken with no privacy, and the garbage disposal had to be cleaned out due to smell coming from it. I think this apartment would be amazing if there were some updates made. When I contacted the owner and the property management they were quick to respond but a solution wasn’t done until we left.

We stayed at this unit , it’s a little musty smell and little out dated. It was close to the pool and beach which we loved.The unit was fairly clean had all the kitchen things we needed, but the dishwasher wasn’t working ,we didn’t use much mostly paper plate and cups so we really didn’t needed to use it, I did use a frying pan and had to hand wash it. that’s when I realized the dishwasher didn’t work tried to turn on but seem no power to it ?. The bed not too bad , little tied against the wall on one side , but we managed. The review I read said the tv in bedroom didn’t work but it did for us, the bedroom suit is white not the same one in the picture.It would be a great unit it was updated and cleaned a-little better. The deck chairs are ok could be up dated the carpet on the deck floor needs to be removed musty smell. We probably stay again , we did have a good weekend at this the resort .

The area was excellent! Although I do wish we would’ve known it isn’t an ocean view. It was a tad out dated and the blinds/curtains only had maybe 5-6 panels left so we could not close then completely for privacy. Overall it wasn’t bad for the price and 3-4 min walk to the beach.

The villa was perfect for what we needed. Close to beach. Resort activities. And dinning if we chose. I loved that our villa faced the field instead of the parking lot or another building. It was quiet and peaceful at night time.

Location was great. 2 minutes to the beach. The condo could use a deep cleaning. Hair on the floor throughout. Bathroom was not clean. We could never get the TV to work. However, for the money it was ok.

When you get there go to conference center on property to get your parking pass not the security guard. We loved how close it was to the beach. My boys played basketball every night and huge pool was wonderful. Rental was great; perfect size our our family of four. Could use some updates throughout, put tv on the wall in bedroom, new blinds, and working remotes but other than that it was a great stay. Would definitely come back.

The stay was good. It’s what I was looking for. I basically just slept and showered there. The furnishing are older but fine. Cooking on the stove was interesting since it was small. Hot water in shower last 10-15 minutes which is fine with just me. Lots of things 10-15 minutes away. Short walk to beach. I’d stay here again. No laundry in condo. It’s not your over the top luxury condo but if you need a place to sleep and shower near the beach this place will work.

After reading the reviews, I was nervous, but the property has been upgraded. The refrigerator was new and the floors looked like they had been redone. The bathroom tub was not the cleanest and the floors felt like they had sand all over them, but I guess that comes with the beach. On our second day there, the lock broke and we could not lock the unit from the outside. I called the number given to me when the listing was confirmed, but no one answered. Eventually property management came to replace the lock on our third day there. All in all, we booked this listing for the affordability and location. HHB&T has the best pool on the island.

When we arrived at the check in time, the condo had not been cleaned. It was after 5:30 before a cleaning crew could arrive and clean the condo. They did a very good job but missed things (dirty dishes, some linens) because they were trying to hurry to let us in. Management had zero concern about the issue. Other than that, the condo itself was fine. I was concerned because of all of the poor reviews. It has a new refrigerator, and all of the appliances worked. The location was amazing. It's worth booking for the location alone especially if you have children.
