Stayed Oct 17, 2025Never given instructions on how to find the right door to the multiple housing unit. We arrived Friday, got ready to explore Salem for the night, as we all took showers to get ready for a fun night, realized the hot water was not working right-We thought that since it’s such an old place, maybe it would just take a bit for the hot water to heat up. We also repeatedly pushed the buttons for the thermostat, and thought it would just take a bit of time to warm up. It did not. We went to bed in sweatpants and sweatshirts and coats, and woke up in the morning to a 48 house. As we got up in the morning to take showers, we realize there was absolutely no hot water and we were already freezing to death because of no heat. But our day still had to go on so we had to push through and take ice showers. After I texted the host and told them about the problems, they said they would try to get someone out to fix it but she was having trouble finding someone. At first, she offered a refund for our entire stay. That changed though-any kind of refund for the inconvenience of freezing for two days was denied. The heat and hot water heater were fixed by 7-ish Sat. night. We have been home for 3 weeks now going back-and-forth repeatedly ask or some sort of refund, but they simply don’t care. I do not recommend anyone staying at this place. Location is bad if Salem is your destination(20 min uber) If something goes wrong, you won’t get any of your money back.

Stayed Oct 13, 2025To begin with, you will be renting from a company that isn't in the same time zone as the property, so while it may be 9:30AM to you, it is after hours to where ever you call. We arrived at night, (after driving 7 1/2 hours), during the rain and when we drove to the parking pad someone was in our spot for our unit. As we were the only ones staying in that unit, we didn't know who it was. We had to contact the company and wait for them to call us back to tell us what to do. The person never called back so I called again and was told again to wait as it was being checked on.While we were waiting we made our way to the door to our unit in the dark as there was no lighting to light the path. Once entering the unit, the light switch inside the door didn't work so I had to fumble in the dark to find a light to turn on. There was also no light on the porch to turn on so that we could see what we were doing. Upon calling a third time, we were text messaged and told we could park in any of the spots in front of the garages. We looked in the freezer, no ice cube trays, no way to get ice, yet there is an ice bucket on the side pantry next to the kitchen. The oven is sitting on a slant which doesn't seem safe to use.Entering the bedroom there is an AC unit just sitting on the floor that should have been properly stored for the winter when uninstalled in Sept. and not unplugged sitting on the floor. The bathroom door doesn't open all the way as there is
