While we appreciated the location and some of the amenities at the property, there were a few issues that detracted from our overall experience. One of the main reasons we chose this property was because it advertised two full bathrooms. Unfortunately, one of the showers did not work during our stay, leaving our family of five with only one full and one half bathroom. We brought this to the attention of the manager the morning after our arrival, but it was not addressed until the day we were leaving when a plumber finally arrived. Additionally, we found that the property looked and felt quite old, with no sense of care or attention from the owners. The dishes and silverware were mismatched, and the blankets didn't fit the beds properly, giving the impression of cut-up pieces of cloth. We also noticed that the dishwasher had not been unloaded before our arrival, which was a bit disappointing. Lastly, we were disappointed to find that the grill advertised in the pictures on the balcony did not work due to a lack of gas. While we understand that it may not have been advertised as an amenity, it still felt a bit misleading to see it in the pictures. Despite these issues, we appreciated the property's location and some of the amenities. However, we would suggest that the owners consider making some updates and improvements to the property to ensure that guests have a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The property was just as described. Having the extra bath for the kids was nice. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Easy walk to the Village, just across the street from the Sonnenalp hotel.
Was a great condo for our trip. Could use some updates, but with that comes a higher price. The condo was just right for us.
Great location - easy walk to Gondola One and Vail Village. Property is a bit tired and could use some updates, but it’s true to the photos. We had a few issues with the property including no hot water in one of the two bathrooms and a broken lock to the sliding door. However, I didn’t call the property manager to inquire since it didn’t bother me too much.
Everything about the property as advertised, highly recommended.
Perfect condo for us. Two full bathrooms, had all we needed to enjoy Vail!
The shuttle took us to the gate of the well kept building which is very well located in town, but because I had not checked in yet (no available way to do it), I didn't have the gate code to gain access, so we were left at the gate with all the bags in order to walk thru the parking and then get into the building. Once inside, I called to the phone number listed at the door for check in, but nobody answered, so I had to look into my mails for another number. When I called, I was told that I had to go to the nearest opened office which was half mile away (302 Hanson Ranch Rd), so with the in-town transportation not operating, I had to take a walk. The employee at the counter was a little uncourteous when I told him that walking 0.5 mile to check in after a long flight was quite unconffortable. The unit was in good conditions; however, I found some hair in one of the bathroom's sink. The kitchen is quite small but everything works fine, so it is good enough for cooking if desired; utensils and silverware are quite poor. The two most unconfortable issues have to be with the BBQ and some men working (hammering, drilling, etc) since 7am until 7pm on Monday; we called Vail Realty 4 times to complain but nothing happened until my friend went to the apartment right above us and asked the workers to stop. The person at Vail Realty did not want to provide the number for the property manager. Later on, we found out that the apartment where they were working is also administered by Vail Realty, so I guess we got a good picture of how they wanted to handle the situation. Last but not at all least, has to do with the BBQ available at the balcony, I tried to use It to make some steaks, but when I opened the gas valve I heard gas escaping and gas odor was imminent, so I immediately closed the valve and then tightened the regulator flare nut, I opened the valve again and I couldn't hear gas escaping or smell anything; however, because I am extra cautious, I went to get a wet sponge with soap and for my surprise, the hose was still leaking at the clamp (I have pictures just in case someone asks), so I had to say good by to the bbq in order to avoid an accident and used the two pans available.
Nice location, a little bit dated for the price, overall a good experience. Heat or turning down was not an option as it was what came out when it came out- we roasted at night and it seemed to lower about 2am- not a oroblem as we slept with the door open but hated to waste energy.
The location is very convenient, right by the fire station on the edge of Vail Village and is walking distance to everything you want in the Village. The place itself has aging finishes, the beds are very hard, and was there was no air conditioning! This was not communicated at all in the listing or beforehand. They leave a couple of big fans for you which does help, and fortunately it gets cooler at night in the summer, but it was uncomfortable during the day and we certainly could have used air conditioning at night- or at least a heads up before booking that there was no A/C. I also had an unpleasant experience dealing with management when booking, as I got one price quote from Vrbo and from management, then was told it would be higher from management because of a cleaning fee, to which I asked for more information because all I had seen was the lower quote. They replied saying they would wait to charge me and get back to me, but the next day they went ahead and charged me the higher amount without reaching out. I called their office and spoke to someone who was very unapologetic and could only tell me billing just put it through. I followed up and never got any more information or an apology. All in all, the place was definitely worth the location for the low price, especially for a few twenty-something young men who aren't too picky, but was certainly lacking in a number of ways.
