SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. As a result, unfortunately our current policy must be that we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargasso.

Newly remodeled 3 bedroom condo with poorly working AC and WiFi worked only in the living room. Noisy outside, the sea weed has been collected ever morning by some noisy equipment.

The unit was as advertised and better than the photos. It was clean and the air conditioning worked great. We didn't have any issues at the condo. We enjoyed the ocean breeze while eating dinner on the balcony. My daughter enjoyed her early morning strolls on the beach. The neighbor, Pat, was very informative and friendly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The kids enjoyed using the pool for evening swims. Checking in and out was very easy. Thank you Christine and Earl.

Condo is exactly as described. It has everything you need just bring your own bathroom necessities. Kitchen is fully stocked. WiFi worked well. We rented a car while on the island for the duration of our stay and highly recommend it. There may be a wait at the airport upon arrival for your rental but the rental companies do work diligently to get you your rental asap. The location of this unit is perfect. It is close to the Christiansted harbor which offers many places to eat and excursions. I highly recommend Villa Carib. There is a higher than normal amount of sargassum washing up on the beaches on this side of the island but at Sugar Beach they did clean it a couple of days during our stay. We chose to drive to beaches on the west end of the island for our stay. Villa Carib does have an amazing view that you can enjoy from the patio! We will definitely return!

This property is nearly perfect in every way, and we had a wonderful time on our five night trip to St. Croix. The condos are in a great location on a beautiful beach, which is usually stunning. However, we were here in July, which is sargassum season, and it rendered our beach unusable. It isn’t the condo’s fault because it’s just mother nature, but we learned a good lesson about coming back to this area again in the fall or early spring not during the seaweed season. The only downgrade for the location is that they’re really is not much to eat if you don’t have a car. We did walk a few blocks to the grocery store and a couple of fast food restaurants. But not everyone feels comfortable walking through the neighborhoods to that part of town. It was fine for us. We ended up renting a car earlier than we expected and drove to the other beautiful clean beaches that Saint Croix has to offer. It really is a stunning island and it has so much to explore and see. The condo amenities and pool were great. And as I noted, most of the time it has a gorgeous view and its own beach. We will definitely come here again.

The condo complex is fantastic our unit not so much! The photos used in the listing apparently are rather old. The living room furniture is very tired and dirty. The tv was on a dish system that the contract expired and was to be replaced with a streaming service that was not working since therewas no internet connection. That was for the last week of our stay. The property manager ( once he responded) shed the problem to the condo manager who tried to get the internet people out tofixthe system but the shed the issue to someone in puerto rico! Seven days without national networks or local stations a real disappointment when you’re in an area that basically shuts down at 7:00 pm. Not to mention we needed to be present to let whoever showed up in to have access. Three days of our vacation was spent cooling our heels waiting for someone who never came. The unit appeared to not have been occupied for a while . There were cobwebs on the art work and the windows (that didnt close /screens that didn’t seal)had a layer of dead bugs on them and more cam in throygh the gaps. We have stayed in units on island that cover a range of conditions this was towards the bottom!

We loved the newly renovated facilities. Everything was our taste and felt like home. The one recommendation that we all had was updating the matresses. They were not very comfortably and somewhat thin. Other than that, this was my favorite so far.

We loved staying here and have some tips and tricks for future renters. Let's start with all the goodies! The island charges for plastic bags at the grocer (love that) and Villa Carib had bags there for us to use. Even some beach coolers too. There is also a myriad of snorkel items too. The kitchen has just about everything you could think of or need! Lots of pots and pans, cutting boards, glasses. So fun! There are also beach chairs in case you go visit another beach. Tons of beach and shower towels too. A few things to look out for... the beds... hard as a rock. You can actually feel the spring circles through the mattress. The queen mattress actually sags into the middle, but we propped it up with a few conch shells (I kid you not) so we didn't fall into each other sleeping at night. The screen doors don't work easily, but that's not a deal breaker for us. Seems like something an oceanfront condo would have as an issue. The main room AC makes a buzzing noise about every 10 seconds or so. We ended up just turning it off. The past reviews talk about how bad the AC was but that must've been fixed before our stay because other than the noise, it cooled us down just fine. The door to the second bedroom is slatted with almost all broken slats and doesn't close all the way, so if privacy is a concern, this will be an issue. No dishwater detergent (we forgot to buy it). We brought our own laundry detergent. All in all, these are minor issues and we LOVED our stay!

Overall I enjoyed this condo. A few things kept it from a 5 though. New air conditioning worked great in all rooms. I was very happy with that. It did take a couple of phone calls before we realized master power switch outside on deck was off. Beach was kept pretty clean, but all beaches I used at St Croix are gravel/rock/ plants in water. Nice sand stops at waters edge pretty much. Pool area very nice. 1 quite disconcerting thing was notice that water was safe to drink, but if you have sensitive stomachs, you should boil water. The only reason to boil water is for harmful bacteria. We had a toddler grandchild, So we boiled water for everyone. Kind of a yucky smell that diminished signif with air conditioners on, but worse when off again. Cleaning could have been better, esp under beds. Also something we have never experienced in a dozen rentals before, no instructions at all once there; no binder with info on attractions, restaurants etc. Odd. Enjoyed the very nice veranda, though it was cluttered. No storage space in kitchen for groceries. Try Chupacabra tacos on boardwalk in Christiansted. Awesome!! Do not bother with Fredericksted, unless you want to snorkel the pier. Hike to Isaac's bay and beach awesome. Worked quite well for 4 adults and 1 toddler. Queen bed in 3rd bedroom too uncomfortable to use. Rest beds fine. Overall worked well, and we had a great time. Lots beach toys, chairs, snorkel masks, but no fins. Tennis court was fine. Thank you for a great time.

We had a wonderful trip and very much enjoyed the condo. Great location near Christiansted for dining, excursions, etc and it was awesome having the ocean right outside the window. Fun snorkeling too at an artificial reef right next door, we saw a stingray on our last day there.

The condo itself was super charming and view was absolutely amazing. Close to the Boardwalk. However, the condo never cooled down below 84 degrees. I contacted the host, who said he would have someone come check the AC units but that never happened. It was unfortunate we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful condo because it was miserably hot, especially when trying to sleep.
