Villa 401 Nicholson Building

Very clean and great location

This was our second trip. We will be back.

We stopped on our way from our house in VA to our property in FL. I have been visiting Jekyll for 50 years. It is my happy place. This condo was perfect for us and our two dogs, amazing location and well equipped. The new restaurant at the Villas was fabulous. Looking forward to returning.

The unit was an end-unit 1 bed/1 bath apartment with a full kitchen. It was in a great spot and will likely stay in the same complex for similar trips to Jekyll in the future.

We have been coming to Villas by the Sea for years now. This is our Favorite location to stay for the beach access and the quaintness of the villas. It has everything you need. We are never disappointed by our trips to Jekyll Island. I will say for this specific villa we were turned off by the furniture selection. It was all very large for such a small area. We’ve been in dozens of these villas and with space the Murphy bed took up and the coffee table and large dining table it made for a very tight annoying obstacles every day to arrange our belongings with just two adults and one pet. If you were coming with kid(s) I’d say this would be a big pain taking the Murphy bed down, arranging the chairs and moving the kitchen table every day. Now we know the drill, it won’t hinder us in particular to rebook this site in the future. When we originally booked the site showed a couch yet and being in other villas it does give the best space but I understand for cleanliness the reasoning. We made it work and enjoyed it all the same

Cozy but great location next to Driftwood Beach. Only thing we didn't like was the configuration of the bathroom door that is ALWAYS in the way. So much so that we just removed it and stashed it away for the duration of the time there. It would be nice if trash bags were provided, too.

Villas by the sea is always a great place to stay. Area is quiet and friendly. We especially love that it’s pet friendly

This was a great location. Quiet but close to all things Jekyll Island. People on the property were kind and helpful. We had a power outage due to ice/snow storm. I was impressed how everyone came together and were so kind and helpful. We are definitely returning!

Would have been nice if they had let us know, prior to arrival, that Hurricane Helene had wiped out the beach access stairs so there was no on property access. We left early as we booked a condo with easy beach access and management basically told us “oh well.”

Property was as expected in size and quality. There was no wifi and my cellular (TMobile) was very poor at this location.We had wifi available at other properties on the island so it was a service provided and available if the property owner chose to provide it.

Property was in great shape and had all the start up supplies needed. Loved the location and that we were able to bring our pets. Thank you

We had always heard about Jekyll Island and how nice it was. Everything lived up to what we had been told.

Overall property was great! The only exception were the electrical outlets. They all worked but many would not grip the electrical plug. It took some effort to use the outlet. Failure to grip the plug firmly indicates poor electrical contact. This could possibly lead to overheating and potential fire. Yes, I am an engineer :-)

We stayed seven nights at Villa 401 and had a wonderful time. The little unit was perfect for the two of us and our two little doxies. Close to beach walkway and laundry and a 12 minute walk to beautiful Driftwood Beach. It was magical at sunrise?. We hope to return next year.

Place was exactly as described. We really enjoyed our time there. Perfect quiet location.

Nice neighborhood. Pet friendly. A pool. Minutes walk to the sea front with dunes. A cutting board would help.

The property is very good. My only suggestion is a softer bed. The bed was very stiff and caused my back to hurt. Other than the bed, the property was nice and very close to the beach. The 2nd key card did not work but that did not affect our stay as my husband and me would leave and return at the same time.
