Unit was well equipped but very dusty and full of cob webs. We had elderly people stay and had to do some basic cleaning. We recommend the owners of this unit ensure whomever they have cleaning that that is done thoroughly, huge cob webs, dusty shelves etc. whole unit smelled musty. We left a day early.
I enjoyed the location of the townhouse and all the amenities included from the resort. Everyone was really friendly. The description of the townhouse was accurate and it accommodated my family perfectly.
We have stayed at Eagle Crest multiple times (through the resort themselves in the past) and love the location! However this was the first time through Vrbo and we were not impressed like we normally are. We found several dishes that were definitely not clean; cookie sheets, utensils, cups, the tea pot was horrendous. We had to wash 10 of the 13 mugs before we could use them! There was sugar on shelves, and I found cereal on the carpet, wrappers under beds. There was a whole bag of dirty clothes in the closet and a gross beanie under one of the beds. There were no kitchen washcloths for cleaning up, and the lint trap had multiple layers of lint in it. There was also only one opened box of Kleenex which normally would probably be fine but we ended up going through a couple that we had to provide ourselves. There were multiple remotes, several without batteries, and it was incredibly confusing figuring it out at first. And this unit lacked a coat rack, but also only had one flimsy hanger in the downstairs closet to use (until a 2nd was found in the bag of dirty clothes in the same closet). I figured most of this was the fault of whoever cleans, but is a bad reflection on Vrbo. But the worst personally for me was no communication when there was an issue with the unit. We had chillier weather than we normally have when we visit and as such we looked forward to the fireplace. However it didn’t work! We reached out on the 2nd day of our Sunday-Sunday stay and never got a response.
Everything was clean, working and great communication with easy access to enter!
Property was very nice clean and well equipped. Was quiet and relaxing
For the money, it was well worth it. The host was very accommodating when we needed an extra night. We would definitely stay again. There were a few things on why I gave it only a 4 star Kitchen was cleaned very well, but there were someone else's dirty socks in the upstairs closet, there were candy wrappers, hair ties and garbage in the living room on the floor. *Whoever is hired to do the cleaning, might want to go the extra mile... especially when the owner is paying for this service.
Will definitely stay again.
The condo was lovely! No complaints on the condo itself! Loved the view of the golf course and the wild animals in the early morning. The gas fireplace topped it off! Kitchen, bath and bedroom all were well stocked. Would recommend staying at this condo IF they change management people. Tried to get an early check in so we could prep for rehearsal dinner that first night. They said no we might still rent it out the night before and would need the extra time to clean. So then we tried to rent it out for that night before so we could get in early and they said no it hadn't been cleaned. How were they going to rent it out? Code to unlock didn't work and they said they would get an extra key because we were down to the keylock key and needed two keys - surprise, surprise, - never showed. This is the first time we have ever had any trouble with a VRBO rental. Will not rent from Meredith Lodging again.
Eagle Crest is a wonderful place for families and kids of all ages. Lots to do, clean most staff very nice and helpful. Not so much at hotel check in. VRBO, costs, expensive, all extra as much as nightly stay. Too much. Extra costs. Need to be stated up front. That makes stay expensive for 2 nights. Might be ok if staying 4-6 nights.
We always enjoy our stay at this condo! Nice and relaxing, lots to do in the area, close to family near by!
Loved the location and unit but 2 problems: We've stayed at Eagle Crest almost every year for 30 years so we know the property well. The ad said we could use the local pools and showed a picture of the smaller neighborhood pool that you can see from the unit. That would have been perfect for us as we are seniors who don't prefer the big pools with all the kids. It turns out that this unit does not have access to the pool pictured. The second issue was that the pool passes for the bigger pool had expired weeks before. We didn't get the new passes until half way through our stay. Bummer! The rental management company refused to give us any consideration in light of these issues. We won't rent through them again. Other than that the unit was nice.
Very good
